A laminated damping material comprises a layer of a thermosetting resin having vibration-damping properties as a core layer and two heat resistant films adhesive to the core layer, the core layer being sandwiched between these two heat resistant films. The damping material can be used for preparing a fiber-reinforced composite material which comprises at least one basic layer structure, outer layer/intermediate layer/core layer/intermediate layer/outer layer, the intermediate layer being formed from a heat resistant film having good adhesive properties to both outer and core layers and the core layer being formed from a thermosetting resin. The fiber-reinforced composite material exhibits high vibration-damping properties and accordingly can suitably be used, as a structural material, for the production of not only cars and equipments for leisure time amusement but also space structures such as artificial satellites and air planes.

Laminated vibration-damping material

A thermal adhesive vibration damping sheet comprising a sheet substrate having crystalline polyolefin particles attached to a surface thereof, said polyolefin particles having a mean particle size of 1 to 20 .mu.m and exhibiting an endothermic curve having a high temperature side endothermic peak in the range of from 50.degree. to 230.degree. C. as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter. The sheet has improved blocking resistance, adhesion to sheet steel through heat fusion, and impact resistance at low temperatures.

Thermal adhesive vibration damping sheets

A light-emitting or receiving device comprising a light-emitting or receiving element coated with a silicone resin composition and an encapsulating means for encapsulating said light-emitting or receiving element, said encapsulating means comprising a polymer of a monomer, an oligomer or a mixture thereof comprising a diallyl compound. The device has improved weatherability, chemical resistance, hardness, optical properties such as transparency, and moisture resistance.

Light-emitting or receiving device and method for preparing the same

There is provided a light-emitting or receiving device having improved weatherability, chemical resistance, hardness, and optical properties, wherein a light-emitting or receiving element is encapsulated with a polymer of a polymerizable liquid composition comprising (a) a monomer or an oligomer or a mixture thereof containing a diallyl compound as an essential ingredient. There is also provided an encapsulant and a method for encapsulating a light-emitting or receiving element.
