Provided is a gripping portion structure of a gravure plate-making robot in which the accurate gripping of an unprocessed plate-making roll and the positioning accuracy during transfer of the unprocessed plate-making roll to each processing device can be improved by causing a gravure plate-making robot to exhibit a high gripping force when gripping the unprocessed plate-making roll. The gripping portion structure of a gravure plate-making robot to be used in a fully automatic gravure plate-making processing system for manufacturing a gravure plate-making roll by gripping and transferring an unprocessed plate-making roll to each processing device includes: a pair of gripping plates to be mounted on an arm distal end of the gravure plate-making robot, the pair of gripping plates being freely spaced widely or narrowly from each other, and being configured to grip both end portions of the unprocessed plate-making roll; and a gripping surface forming member provided on each of the pair of gripping plates, the gripping surface forming member having a gripping surface that is curved so as to be recessed toward a center of the end portion of the unprocessed plate-making roll to be gripped and having a non-slip function.

The positive-type photosensitive agent composed of an alkaline soluble positive-type photosensitive composition having an infrared wavelength laser sensitivity with a developing latitude under non-heating condition after forming a coated film is coated on the photogravure plated roll to form a photosensitive roll, then a positive image is exposed against the photosensitive film with the infrared wavelength laser, main chain or side chain of molecules of the photosensitive film forming resin at the exposed portion and at the same time, a latent image having a dispersion properly generated at the photosensitive layer is formed, then an alkaline developing is carried out to cause the photosensitive film forming resin at the exposed portion to be washed away and only the resist at the non-image line part is left.

Photogravure plate making method

A coating method is performed by positioning a coating roll directly beneath one end of a predetermined coating range of a printing roll so that the coating roll is perpendicular to the printing roll. The rotating roll rotates and carries a coating liquid which is to be coated on the printing roll that is held horizontally. The printing roll is rotated, and the coating roll is also rotated in a direction in which the carrying of the coating liquid takes place on a leading side of the rotating roll with respect to the traveling direction of the coating roll. The coating roll and is moved from one end to the other of the coating range on the printing roll in such a manner that the coating roll is kept in contact with the printing roll and the coating liquid is coated on the printing roll.
