An applicator for inserting a pessary, the applicator including a barrel and a plunger. The barrel having an upper chalice shaped opening having a first diameter at the top most edge and a second diameter at an intermediate location lower than the top most edge. The first diameter is larger than the second diameter. The plunger is configured to at least partially receive a pessary and is telescopically received in the barrel. The plunger is configured and arranged to eject the pessary from the barrel upon telescopic movement of the plunger within the barrel towards the top most edge.

Applicator for a pessary device

A pessary device has a support portion, a stem and a loop attached to the stem to facilitate manipulation and control of the pessary device. The loop portion is flexible and provides a hole for receipt of a finger of the person inserting or removing the pessary device. The loop portion preferably includes a taper and/or a dimpled end to facilitate the use of a finger or an applicator for insertion of the device deeper into the vagina.

Easily removable pessary device

A pessary providing various structures, parts, and components to enable the pessary to remain deployed in a supportive position so that it may reliably provide the desired supportive capabilities. A ridge structure prevents over-rotation of the supportive members. The pessary can be formed preferably by injection molding where the mold has at least one insert. The geometry of the pessary can enable the pessary to have the required stiffness, flexibility, hinged capability, and softness where needed to achieve a pessary that is superior to prior art pessaries.

Vaginal pessary device for pelvic organ prolapse with improved collapsible construction

A collapsible pessary is provided, and can have a stem and at least one hingedly attached petal member that can rotate between a collapsed state with a smaller diameter and a deployed state with a larger diameter. In the deployed state, the at least one petal member can extend outward from the stem, and in the collapsed state, the at least one petal member can be rotated upwards so that the diameter of the pessary is smaller in the collapsed state than in the deployed state. The pessary can be in a collapsed state wherein its overall diameter is at a minimum, or a deployed state, wherein its overall diameter is at a maximum.

Pessary for pelvic organ prolapse

A collapsible pessary is provided, and can have a stem and at least one rotating petal member that can rotate between a collapsed state with a smaller diameter and a deployed state with a larger diameter. The collapsible pessary can have a plunger within the stem, and pushing the plunger upwards can cause the plunger to push upwards on a portion of the petal member, thereby causing the petal member to rotate into a deployed position. The pessary can be in a collapsed state wherein its overall diameter is at a minimum, or a deployed state, wherein its overall diameter is at a maximum.
