A device includes an enclosure and logic. The enclosure includes a plurality of capacitive touch sensor arrays disposed at least on two of a top side, a bottom side, a left side, a right side, a front side, and a back side of the device. The enclosure also includes a first display on the front side of the device. The logic receives touch interaction information from the plurality of capacitive touch sensor arrays and initiates an action based at least in part on the touch interaction information.

Adaptive enclosure for a mobile computing device

Systems and methods may provide for identifying a back touch event with respect to a back of a device, and identifying a front touch event with respect to a front of the device. Additionally, the front touch event may be associated with either a user grasp of the device or a user request based at least in part on the back touch event. In one example, the device is a smart tablet having a thin screen frame with limited grasping area.

A method for receiving inputs from touch panels is described. The method may include checking for a first input from a first touch panel of a computing device. The method may also include checking for a second input from a second touch panel of the computing device; wherein the first and second inputs are related to a gesture. The method may also include receiving the first and second input simultaneously. The method may also include performing an operation at the computing device based on the simultaneous input from the first touch panel and the second touch panel.

Various systems and methods for controlling a touchscreen user interface are described herein. A system to comprises a proximity sensor; a touchscreen; a proximity sensor driver to interface with the proximity sensor; a touch sensor driver to interface with the touchscreen; and a user interface manager module to: receive an event signal indicating that a user interface action has been initiated; access a delay timer for the user interface action, the delay timer set based on events received by at least one of: the proximity sensor driver or the touch sensor driver; and execute the user interface action when the delay timer is expired.

Various systems and methods for controlling a touchscreen user interface are described herein.
