A polycarboxylate thinner for a carbonate/bicarbonate contamination resistant water-based drilling fluid is prepared from the following raw materials in part by mass: 5 to 10 parts of acrylic acid, 1 to 5 parts of N-vinylpyrrolidone, 5 to 10 parts of sodium methallyl sulfonate, 40 to 50 parts of isopentenyl polyethylene glycol ether, 0.02 to 0.6 part of oxidizing agent, 45 to 55 parts of reducing agent, and 40 to 60 parts of water. The thinner can solve problems caused by HCOand COcontamination in a drilling fluid, such as fluid thickening, increased viscosity and shear force, and elevated fluid loss. When applied to the drilling fluid contaminated with HCOand CO, the thinner can effectively reduce viscosity, shear force, and fluid loss of the drilling fluid.

The present disclosure relates to the technical field of well drilling, and discloses a strongly adsorbed hyper-branched filtrate reducer for water-based drilling fluid with resistance to 240° C. and saturated salinity, a preparation method therefor and use thereof. The filtrate reducer includes a first structural unit provided by an anionic hydration-enhancing monomer, a second structural unit provided by a cationic adsorption monomer, a third structural unit provided by a main chain monomer, a fourth structural unit provided by a cyclic monomer, a fifth structural unit provided by a polyether monomer, and a sixth structural unit provided by a hyper-branched structural monomer. The filtrate reducer of the present disclosure is capable of maintaining desirable rheology and filtrate reduction performance of the drilling fluid, and the long-term stability under the conditions of 240° C. and saturated salinity.

The preparation method includes the steps of: mixing tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS), diethanolamine (DEA), and triethanolamine (TEA) for a transesterification and polycondensation reaction to obtain highly reactive hyperbranched polysiloxane; adding an acrylamide (AM) monomer, an anionic monomer, and a polar ester monomer into deionized water to obtain a monomer solution; adjusting the pH of the monomer solution to 5-9, and then adding highly reactive hyperbranched polysiloxane; introducing nitrogen to remove oxygen, adding an initiator, and thermally initiating a polymerization reaction; and after the reaction is completed, vacuum-drying and crushing an obtained product to obtain the high-temperature and high-salt resistant hyperbranched lubricant for a water-based drilling fluid.
