A hinge device which rotatably connects a display to a keyboard part comprised of a hinge pivot member which attaches the keyboard part and a bracket which is attached to the display and holds the hinge pivot member and of a hinge cover, wherein if making the bracket hold the hinge pivot member, then attaching the hinge cover to the pivot of the hinge pivot member and making it slide in the axial direction to engage it with the housing of the display part and attaching the front cover to the display part in this state, a projecting part which is provided at the front end part of the front cover is inserted in the hinge cover and return of the hinge cover in the axial direction is prevented, so the front cover and hinge cover can be simply removed at the time of maintenance of the display part.

Hinge device and electronic apparatus using that hinge device

A case including a casing body formed with an opening and a cover attached to the opening to be capable of opening and closing. The case further including a first grip tab that extends from the cover towards the opening inner side and a second grip tab that includes an anchor portion that anchors in the cover opening direction to an anchored-to portion provided to the casing body. The second grip tab disposed facing towards the first grip tab and resiliently supported by the first grip tab to be capable of approaching and moving away from the first grip tab such that an insertion portion opened in the opening direction is formed between the first grip tab and the second grip tab and such that an anchored state of the anchor portion to the anchored-to portion is released by the second grip tab moving away from the first grip tab.

An electronic apparatus includes a cover unit, a touchpad unit and a contact member. The cover unit has a window through which an operation section is exposed and the window has an inwardly inclined peripheral surface as an inclined portion. The touchpad unit is arranged substantially in the window. The contact member is secured on the touchpad unit and is exposed through the window. The contact member has a joining part for the cover unit. The joining part of the contact member forms a contiguous inclined surface together with the inclined portion of the cover unit.

Touchpad of an electronic apparatus and method for manufacturing the same

An electronic apparatus includes a circuit board; a housing which incorporates the circuit board and includes, on the bottom surface of the housing, an opening, through which a portion of one surface of the circuit board is visible, and a fastening hole; an electronic component mounted in the opening and accommodated in the housing; and a fastening member inserted into the fastening hole and fixing the housing. The housing has a rib formed along the entire circumference of the opening, and the rib extends from the circumferential edge of the opening toward the circuit board and prevents the fastening member that has fallen into the opening from entering the housing.

Electronic apparatus

An electronic apparatus includes a disk drive unit, a first casing and a second casing. The disk drive unit is provided inside the electronic apparatus and has an insertion slot into which a disk medium is to be slid or placed. The first casing covers an upper side of the disk drive unit and includes a cover portion covering an upper edge of the insertion slot. The second casing joins to the first casing and provides a housing portion housing the disk drive unit.

Electronic apparatus including disk drive unit and method of manufacturing the same

An electronic apparatus includes a circuit board; a housing accommodating the circuit board and having a card insertion slot on a side surface thereof; and a card holding portion fixed on the circuit board and having a card receiving slot facing the card insertion slot and provided closer to a center side of the circuit board than a side edge of the circuit board on the card insertion slot side, the card holding portion receiving a card, inserted through the card insertion slot, from the card receiving slot and holding the card. The housing has a guiding rib which extends from the card insertion slot to the vicinity of the card receiving slot and guides the card, inserted into the card insertion slot, to the card receiving slot.

A medium drive unit includes a frame having an operating section, on a rear surface of which facing the main body side of the frame is provided a projection projecting toward the button, and which, upon receiving a depression operation from an outer surface side facing the outside, is biased toward the main body side and pushes the button with the leading end of the projection, a frame main body which surrounds the operating section so as to be separated from the operating section by an opening which extends surrounding the operating section, and passes through the front and rear surfaces of the frame, and an elastic support piece which extends through the opening along an edge of the operating section adjacent to the opening, of which one end is connected to the frame main body and the other end to the operating section.

An electronic apparatus includes a circuit board having a connector mounted at an end edge and a metal member reinforcing the connector, the connector including a fitting surface of the connector facing outside; a housing which accommodates the circuit board and includes a first opening for a keyboard arrangement formed in an upper surface thereof and a second opening for fitting with a mating connector formed on a side surface thereof, the second opening facing the fitting surface of the connector mounted on the circuit board; and a keyboard exposed to the outside from the first opening and having a plurality of keys arranged on an upper surface thereof. The metal member extends under the keyboard and supports a portion of the lower surface of the keyboard.

In a first area, a projection section provided in a second rib is inserted into a hollow section provided in a first rib, and the first rib and the second rib are overlapped with each other such that the second rib is located inside the first rib. In a second area, the first rib and the second rib are overlapped with each other such that the first rib is located inside the second rib. Therefore, a front rib and a back rib prevent each other from moving in an overlapping direction. Accordingly, it is possible to fix the front rib and the back rib without using a rib which is another component, thereby making it possible to reduce the size and weight of an apparatus while increasing the size of a display screen.

A board fixing member has a first board supporting face and a second board supporting face both of which are adjacent to each other with an angle. A flexible board is fixed in a state in which the flexible board is supported by both the first and second board supporting faces of the board fixing member. The flexible board includes a first reinforcement plate at a first portion supported by the first board supporting face and a second reinforcement plate at a second portion supported by the second board supporting face.

A lock unit used for an electronic apparatus that includes a foldable and unfoldable housing that has a first surface that is foldable, and a second surface orthogonal to the first surface includes a lock member that locks the housing in a folded state, an operation member that moves the lock member and releases a lock of the housing by the lock member, and a transmission mechanism that transmits a driving force applied to the operation member to the lock member by changing an operating direction of the operation member to another direction, and moves the lock member in the other direction, wherein the operation member is provided on the second surface, and an operating direction of the operation member is a first direction perpendicular to the second surface, the lock member projecting in a second direction orthogonal to the first surface, and a moving direction of the lock member being a third direction orthogonal to the first and second directions.

Electronic apparatus having lock unit

A function expansion device has a housing containing an electronic component and a locking mechanism having a lock-releasing member attached to the housing and movable between a locking position in which the member contacts the housing and a lock-releasing position to which the member moves in response to a lock-releasing operation. The locking mechanism locks an electronic device so that it cannot be removed when the lock-releasing member is in the locking position and unlocks the electronic device in response to an operation of moving the lock-releasing member from the locking position to the lock-releasing position. The housing and the lock-releasing member have respective holes which communicate with each other when the lock-releasing member is in the locking position.

Function expansion device and electronic device system

An electronic apparatus includes a battery housing section that houses a removable battery; and an electronic component housing section that houses a removable electronic component that operates with power supplied by the battery housed in the battery housing section. The apparatus further includes an electronic-component housing section cover that covers the electronic component housed in the electronic component housing section that is movable between a locked position in which its attachment is not allowed and an unlocked position in which its attachment is allowed. The electronic-component housing section cover is prohibited from moving from the locked position to the unlocked position when the battery is housed in the battery housing section and is allowed to move from the locked position to the unlocked position when the battery is removed from the battery housing section.

A hinge member that couples a display unit to a main unit in an openable and closable manner is fixed to the display unit by a hinge fastening section of the hinge member. A panel attachment member having a panel fastening section fastened to the side of a display panel of the display unit is fixed to the display panel independently of the hinge fastening section. A tongue piece of the panel fastening section overlaps and contacts the hinge fastening section from the front surface side of a display screen of the display panel.

A removable unit is designed to enjoy a change of attitude relative to an apparatus body. The apparatus body is received on the surface of a desk at first rubber pads. The removable unit has a pair of second rubber pads on its bottom surface located at a position adjacent to the bottom surface of the apparatus body. The bottom surface of the electronic apparatus is in this manner spaced from the surface of the desk. When a piece of paper is inserted between the second rubber pad and the surface of the desk, the change of attitude of the removable unit allows the other second rubber pad to contact the surface of the desk. The removable unit absorbs the difference of elevation based on the change of attitude. The removable unit allows the second rubber pads to contact. The electronic apparatus suffers from less rattling.
