A method of reducing voltage variations in a power supply may include generating an intermediate voltage and setting a first-transistor gate voltage at a first-transistor gate of a first transistor of the power supply based on the intermediate voltage. The method may also include setting an output voltage at an output node of the power supply based on a second-transistor gate voltage at a second-transistor gate of a second transistor. Additionally, the method may include setting the second-transistor gate voltage based on the first-transistor gate voltage such that the output voltage is based on the intermediate voltage, a first-transistor threshold voltage of the first transistor, and a second-transistor threshold voltage of the second transistor and such that variations in the first-transistor threshold voltage and the second-transistor threshold voltage at least partially cancel each other out.

Output voltage variation reduction

Systems and methods for reducing power consumption of a voltage regulator are disclosed. In accordance with one embodiment of the present disclosure a voltage regulator comprises an input node configured to receive a reference voltage and an output node configured to output an output voltage. The output voltage is a function of the reference voltage and a regulating current. The regulator further comprises a proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) circuit coupled to at least one of the output node and the input node. The PTAT circuit is configured to vary at least one of the reference voltage and the regulating current as a function of temperature.

An amplifier is disclosed. In accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure, an amplifier may comprise a differential pair comprising a first transistor and a second transistor, wherein the first transistor comprises a first portion and a second portion, a first compensation circuit comprising a first terminal coupled to the first portion of the first transistor and a second terminal coupled to the second transistor, and a second compensation circuit comprising a first terminal coupled to the second portion of the first transistor and a second terminal coupled to the second transistor and the second terminal of the first compensation circuit.

Amplifier with multiple zero-pole pairs

Systems and methods for reducing voltage undershoot and overshoot of a voltage regulator are disclosed. In one embodiment of the present disclosure, an undershoot/overshoot regulation circuit comprises a control node having a control voltage. The regulation circuit also comprises a control circuit configured to increase the control voltage in response to a load being applied to an output node of a voltage regulator and decrease the control voltage in response to the load being removed from the output node. The regulation circuit also comprises a control capacitor including a first terminal coupled to the control node and a second terminal coupled to a gate node of the voltage regulator. The control capacitor is configured to increase a gate voltage at the gate node in response to the increase of the control voltage, and decrease the gate voltage in response to the decrease of the control voltage.
