Triangulation light sensor

The invention relates to a method of detecting an object in which pulses of transmitted light are repeatedly transmitted into a transmission zone by means of a light source; reception light received from the detection zone is detected by means of a detection apparatus which has a plurality of detectors; and an evaluation zone is defined which comprises a plurality of detectors and within which reception light is incident onto the detectors. An optoelectronic sensor for recognizing object edges of objects moved relative to the sensor, has a light transmission device with at least one light transmitter, in particular at least two light transmitters, for generating a respective collimated or focused transmitted light beam. The sensor has at least two light receivers for imaging a light spot produced by the respective transmitted light beam on an object, wherein the two light receivers are arranged on two mutually opposite sides of the light transmission device, and has an evaluation unit which is designed to compare the two reception intensities of the two images of the respective light spot taken by the two light receivers with one another and to evaluate the result of the respective comparison to recognize an object edge.

Optoelectronic sensor for detecting object edges

An optoelectronic sensor includes at least one light transmitter for the transmission of light signals into a monitored zone and at least one light receiver for the reception of transmitted light signals. In this respect, the received light signals are converted into electrical received signals in the light receiver. The light signals transmitted by the light transmitter are each generated on the basis of an output signal spread in accordance with a frequency spreading technique (spread spectrum) and provided with an offset applied for the generation of a unipolar signal. The electrical received signals can be supplied to a high-pass filter in the light receiver. Optoelectronic sensor

The present invention relates to a method for the detection of an object by means of an optoelectronic apparatus, wherein light rays generated by a light source are incident onto an object as a light bead and the light rays scattered back and/or reflected from the object are detected by a receiver arrangement in accordance with the triangulation principle and an object detection signal including information on a scanning distance between the apparatus and the object is output, with the light rays acting via an imaging element on a pixel array consisting of photodetectors in the receiver arrangement. The method is characterized in that the imaging element is only an array of individual imaging elements positioned before the pixel array and generating a received signal pattern on the pixel array corresponding to a plurality of mutually spaced apart images of the light bead; and in that the information on the scanning distance is determined from the received signal pattern. The present invention furthermore relates to an optoelectronic apparatus for the carrying out of the method.

Method for the detection of an object and optoelectronic apparatus

An apparatus detects an object using an optoelectronic apparatus. Light beams generated by a light source are scattered back and/or reflected by an object and are detected by a receiver arrangement in accordance with the triangulation principle. An object detection signal is output by an evaluation unit and the light beams in the receiver arrangement act via an optical receiver system and a microlens array on a pixel array comprising photodetectors. A macropixel has a plurality of subpixels associated with each microlens. The evaluation unit comprises a unit for determining the received signal distribution over the subpixels. Methods for operating the apparatus are also provided.

Optoelectronic apparatus and a method for its operation

An optoelectronic sensor and a method for producing a positive or a negative object detection signal in dependence on the presence or non-presence of an object in a foreground region or in a background region of a region monitored by the sensor. Transmitted light is transmitted in the direction of the monitored region during an operating phase. A plurality of received signals are produced in dependence on the reflected and the received transmitted light which are associated with the foreground region or with the background region. A difference of the received signals is compared with a differential threshold to produce the positive or the negative object detection signal, wherein a switching hysteresis is formed for a change between the positive and the negative object detection signal. The association of the received signals with the foreground region and the background region is changed in dependence on a change in the object detection signal to form the switching hysteresis.

Monitoring method and an optoelectronic sensor

The invention relates to an optoelectronic sensor, in particular a reflection light scanner, at least comprising a transmitter for transmitting transmitted light, a receiver for outputting at least two received signals in dependence on reflected and received transmitted light, and an evaluation device by which, for determining whether an object or no object is disposed in a detection zone of the sensor, a difference of the received signals is comparable with a threshold and a positive or negative article detection signal can be produced in dependence on the result of this comparison, with a plurality of different thresholds being provided to produce a switching hysteresis. The evaluation device is made such that the result of a comparison of a sum of the received signals with a threshold value is provided as an additional criterion for the production of the article detection signal. The invention further relates to a corresponding method.

Distance determination

The invention relates to a method of operating an optoelectronic sensor, in particular a light barrier, in which a light signal is sent by means of a light transmitter into a monitored region, and a light receiver designed to receive transmitted and reflected light signals delivers a reception signal, the amplitude of which is investigated for the presence of an object in the monitored region, with an article detection signal being transmitted if a recognition threshold is exceeded or fallen short of, characterized in that a plurality of switching threshold values are preset, with a switching signal being triggered when the received signal exceeds or falls short of these switching threshold values, in that the number of the switching signals which arise with respect to each switching threshold is found; and in that the recognition threshold value and the switching threshold values are set or adjusted in dependence on the numbers found.
