A method is described for calibrating a balancing machine, in which a rotor () to be corrected is rotatably mounted in bearings () and a correction run k is performed, wherein at least one measuring sensor () determines an initial vibration of the rotor () prior to an imbalance correction and transmits this vibration to an evaluation device (), which stores the measured value as vibration vector {right arrow over (s)}. After an imbalance on the rotor () is corrected, a residual vibration of the rotor () is measured by measuring sensor (), transmitted to the evaluation unit () and stored as vibration vector {right arrow over (s)}. The difference &#x3b4;{right arrow over (s)}={right arrow over (s)}&#x2212;{right arrow over (s)}formed from the measurement data and the corrected imbalance is stored for compensation run k as &#x3b4;{right arrow over (s)}and {right arrow over (u)}by the evaluation unit (). To undertake a calibration of the machine, one can either determine a process calibration matrix K by solving the equation system S=UKusing the collected measurement data or one can select an already available process calibration matrix using the initial vibration {right arrow over (s)}and/or imbalance vector {right arrow over (u)} and store it as a calibration matrix in the evaluation unit () and use it to calculate an unknown imbalance vector of a rotor ().

Method for calibrating a balancing machine

In a method for identifying an unbalance correction for flexible rotors (), the rotor () is rotatably mounted in two bearing devices. An RPM sensor () records the speed of the rotor () and a radial movement of the rotor () is recorded, by means of position sensors () at measuring points (), during an unbalance measurement run or a plurality of unbalance measurement runs for different rotor speeds. The measured values recorded are fed to an evaluation device (), which determines the eccentricity measured values assigned to the measuring points () by means of expanding the influence coefficient method, and therefore unbalances are determined per plane and eccentricities are determined per measuring point for each measurement run.

Method for measuring the unbalance of flexible rotors by means of position-measuring sensors

Using a force-measuring balancing machine (), the empirically determined permanent calibration is corrected in that the resonant frequencies (&#x3c9;) of the rotor () to be balanced are calculated, in a translatory direction and (&#x3c9;) in a rotational direction, from the mass (m) of a rotor () to be balanced, which is mounted in the balancing machine (), the co-oscillating mass (M) of the bearing supports (), the rigidity (c) of the bearing supports () and the spacing (L) of the rotor bearings, and a frequency response calculated from the resonant frequencies (&#x3c9;, &#x3c9;) and the frequency (&#x3a9;) of the rotor () is introduced to the permanent calibration.
