An interactive dive apparatus for use by a scuba diver to determine a maximum dive duration, including an input interface for inputting dive specific parameters including a J-factor for adjusting a no-stop time calculation to compensate for various environmental and physiological parameters, a clock for determining an elapsed dive time, and a depth sensor for detecting a present depth and a maximum depth. The depth sensor tracks diver dwell time in each of plural predetermined depth ranges, and a CPU determines a no-stop time in accordance with the user inputted dive specific parameters and the detected dwell time. The interactive dive apparatus further includes a display screen for displaying at least the no-stop time, elapsed dive time duration and the current depth.

Programmable dive computer

The invention relates to an instrument adapted for difficult conditions of use, such as a diver's computer or the like, said instrument comprising a computer (,) as well as displaying device (,) for displaying to a user at least the control and/or output information related to said computer (,). The display (,) of said displaying device (,) is arranged in a casing (,) in such a manner that said display (,) can be clearly read from two essentially different directions (A and B). A first side of a structurally transparent display (,) is read directly (direction A) from the top of said display (,), and the opposite side is read essentially from the opposite side (direction B) of said casing through a special optical assembly (,) so that a mirror image is read of an image observed from the back side of said display (,).
