A motor rotor includes a shaft body, a cylindrical magnet covering an outer circumferential surface of the shaft body, a cylindrical protective layer covering an outer circumferential surface of the magnet and an annular end ring having the shaft body inserted therethrough, and in contact with an end surface of the magnet. The end ring is fixed to the shaft body by an inner circumferential resin portion formed between an inner circumferential surface of the end ring and the outer circumferential surface of the shaft body.

A stator includes: a stator core having an annular shape; teeth that protrudes inwardly in a radial direction from an inner peripheral surface of the stator core; an insulator that covers the teeth; and a winding wound around the teeth with the insulator interposed between the winding and the teeth. The teeth includes: a right surface extending in a first direction along a central axis of the stator core; a left surface extending in the first direction; a top surface that extends between the right surface and the left surface in a second direction intersecting the first direction; a bottom surface that extends between the right surface and the left surface in the second direction; and a through-hole portion penetrating through the teeth from the top surface to the bottom surface.

An example motor rotor includes a cylindrical magnet which is disposed around a rotation shaft, a protective layer which is disposed around the magnet, and a middle resin portion which is disposed between the magnet and the protective layer. The magnet has a cylindrical shape that extends continuously in a circumferential direction of the rotation shaft. A surface treatment portion is formed on at least one of an outer peripheral surface of the magnet or an inner peripheral surface of the protective layer, to impart adhesion with the middle resin portion.

A turbine housing has: a first inner member; a second inner member contacting with the first inner member; a turbine scroll flow path enclosed and defined by the first inner member and the second inner member; a first casting housing covering the first inner member at a side opposite to the second inner member; a second casting housing covering the second inner member at a side opposite to the first inner member; an aperture formed in one or both of the first casting housing and the second casting housing and including an opening that opens to an outside; a tube member arranged in the aperture and defining an inlet flow path connected to the turbine scroll flow path; and an inner opening defined by the first inner member and the second inner member and overlapping with one end of the tube member.

An example rotary machine includes a motor including a rotor and a stator, and a cooling jacket disposed around the stator. The cooling jacket includes an inner body part being cylindrical and in contact with the stator, an outer body part being cylindrical and surrounding the inner body part, and a groove through which a cooling medium passes, the groove circling helically around an outer circumference of the inner body part at least once. The groove has a pair of side surfaces opposed in a direction of an axis of rotation of the rotor, and a bottom surface connected to each of the pair of side surfaces. Each of the pair of side surfaces is formed having a draft angle inclined away from each other, the draft angle inclined relative to a release direction orthogonal to the axis of rotation.

A motor rotor includes an inner sleeve, a cylindrical permanent magnet disposed around the inner sleeve, and a resin portion formed by charging a gap between the inner sleeve and the permanent magnet with a resin. The inner sleeve includes a small diameter portion. The small diameter portion is located to face an inner peripheral surface of an end portion of the permanent magnet in an axial direction. The small diameter portion is formed to have a diameter smaller than a diameter of a portion facing an inner peripheral surface of a center portion of the permanent magnet in the axial direction.

This electric compressor includes a rotation shaft including a first end and a second end, a compressor impeller which is mounted on the first end of the rotation shaft and includes a back surface facing the second end, a motor disposed between the first end and the second end of the rotation shaft, a wall portion which separates an impeller space and a motor space from each other and includes a reference wall surface having a shape along the back surface of the compressor impeller, and a bypass hole which is formed in the wall portion to connect the impeller space to the motor space and includes a first opening which opens to the impeller space. In the wall portion, a recessed portion which is disposed around the first opening of the bypass hole and recessed from the reference wall surface is formed.
