A video encoder and a video decoder are configured to take the variations in the third-dimensional parts of video frames into consideration. The video encoder determines how to generate compressed data of a late video frame according to a three-dimensional difference between an early video frame and the late video frame, and the video encoder includes a decision circuit and an encoding circuit. The decision circuit generates a decision result according to the three-dimensional difference between the early video frame and the late video frame. The encoding circuit performs a three-dimensional compression process to the late video frame when the decision result indicates that the three-dimensional difference satisfies a predetermined condition, and the encoding circuit performs a routine compression process to the late video frame when the three-dimensional difference does not satisfy the predetermined condition.

A setup method of a display device includes the following steps. A remote control device transmits a setting command to a smart device through a transmission interface. The smart device converts the setting command into a display setting command. The smart device transmits the display setting command to the display device, in which a first connector of the smart device is physically connected to a second connector of the display device. The display device correspondingly performs a firmware update operation or correspondingly adjusts at least one parameter of the display device according to the display setting command.

The electronic device uses a camera unit to capture a facial image of a user for identifying facial organs. Then, a relative angle of the user's eyes viewing the image can be determined. After that, a turning signal can be provided according to an angle of the user's eyes viewing the image, and the state of the device. A display unit is driven to display a landscape mode image or a portrait mode image in response to the turning signal. Alternatively, a driving mechanism of the electronic device can be controlled and the electronic device is turned to a specific angle.

Disclosed is a network data playback system including a network circuit, a master device, and a slave device. The network circuit is configured to provide network resources for the master device and slave device and can be included in or independent of the master device. The master device is configured to select a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) and actively/passively inform the slave device of the URL. The slave device is configured to execute the following steps: if an estimated distance between the slave device and the network circuit is shorter than a threshold, obtaining data (e.g., multimedia data) related to the URL through the network circuit and then processing the data; and if the estimated distance is longer than the threshold, searching for and/or choosing another network circuit to try to continue processing the data related to the URL through the another network circuit.

Disclosed is a playback system including a master device and slave devices. The master device executes the following steps: selecting data for playback; obtaining the position information of the slave devices through a wireless positioning technique; ascertaining a distribution pattern according to the position information; comparing the distribution pattern with at least a part of the patterns of multiple predetermined modes and thereby selecting one from the predetermined modes as a playback mode; and determining the playback parameters of the slave devices according to the position information and the playback mode, or notifying the slave devices of their playback roles based on the playback mode and the position information to let the slave devices determine their own playback parameters. Each slave device includes a wireless communication circuit available to the wireless positioning technique, and the slave devices play synchronously according to the master device's control.
