A down-the-hole drilling device, being meant for drilling a hole with and a casing part is described. The drilling device comprises in its drilling head: a drilling arrangement, having first drilling means for drilling a center hole and second drilling means for reaming the center hole for the casing part; and a flushing flow arrangement for feeding of a flushing medium onto a drilling surface of the drilling arrangement by one or more feed channels and for discharging the same from the drilling surface together with drilling waste. The casing part is arranged to be pulled into the hole to be drilled by power influence directed thereto from the drilling arrangement. A feed channel of the flushing flow arrangement at least partly ends up on the drilling surface at a flushing channel that exists in the longitudinal direction of the drilling device essentially behind a rearmost part of the drilling surface of at least of the first drilling means. The flushing flow arrangement comprises on the bottom of the flushing channel a supplementary flushing groove that extends from the feed channel towards the outer periphery of the drilling arrangement.

Down-the-hole drilling device

A method for putting together a down-the-hole drilling apparatus for plastic pipe drilling. The down-the-hole drilling apparatus has a drilling device for carrying out drilling by using a drilling unit with a plastic pipe, which drilling unit includes in its drilling head a drilling arrangement. The plastic pipe is arranged to be pulled into the hole to be drilled by a power influence directed thereto from the drilling unit, being coupled with the second drilling means in a manner transmitting power at least in the longitudinal direction of the drilling device. The drilling unit and the plastic pipe are coupled by a skirt part that exists at an opposite end of the drilling arrangement, with respect to the drilling surface of the drilling unit, which skirt part has an internal protrusion assembly in radial direction.

Method for putting together a down-the-hole drilling apparatus for plastic pipe drilling and a down-the-hole drilling apparatus

A drilling device for a down-the-hole drilling apparatus. The drilling device includes in a guide, a drilling member and a flushing mechanism configured to flush drilling waste. The drilling mechanism includes first and second drilling bit arrangements that are movable with respect to the drilling device and that are arranged to be expanded to drill a hole having a greater cross-sectional surface area than an end of the casing and arranged to be reduced to a size smaller than the end of the casing. Bit pieces of the second drill bit arrangement expand and reduce the second drill bit arrangement. The bit pieces expand the second drill bit arrangement by moving in a radial direction outwards in slide grooves, by rotating the guide in a drilling direction, and move in the radial direction inwards in the slide grooves, by rotating the guide in an opposite direction.

Drilling device

A method for assembling a down-the-hole drilling apparatus including a drilling device including a casing and a drilling unit arranged during drilling in connection with the casing. The drilling unit includes a drilling head including a drilling arrangement including a first drilling member for drilling a center hole and a second drilling member for reaming the center hole. The drilling members are mutually power transmittingly coupled during drilling to cooperate for rotational, feeding and/or hammering, and removably coupled to enable removal of the first drilling member from a hole. The casing is arranged to be pulled into the hole through a shoulder arranged at an end of the casing. At an opposite end of the drilling arrangement with respect to a drilling surface, is arranged a skirt including a radial internal shoulder for pulling the casing into the hole by cooperation of the internal shoulder and an external shoulder at the end of the casing.

Method in putting together of a down-the-hole drilling apparatus and a down-the-hole drilling apparatus

A drilling method and apparatus. A drilling device includes a plastic casing part and a drilling unit arranged essentially inside the casing part. The drilling unit includes a first drilling part for drilling a center hole and a second drilling part for reaming the center hole for the casing part. The drilling parts are arranged at a drilling head. The drilling parts are coupled in a power transmitting manner or in a radially contractable manner in connection with the casing part. A casing shoe is mounted at an end of the casing part. In coupling of the casing shoe at an end of the casing part, a casing shoe is used that includes a working member. The casing shoe is mounted at the end of the casing part by treating the casing part to provide a joint between the casting part and the casing shoe that transmits pulling.

Method and apparatus for plastic pipe drilling

A method for coupling an earth pipe into the ground when utilizing an apparatus that has a drilling device including a casing part and a drilling unit inside thereof. The drilling unit includes a first drilling member for drilling a center hole and a second drilling member for reaming the center hole for the casing part. The casing part is arranged to be drawn into the hole by the first and/or second drilling member. After drilling a hole for the earth pipe and lifting up the first drilling member, a solidifying mass is led to the bottom of the hole to couple the earth pipe to the surrounding ground. The solidifying mass is brought in the casing part utilizing a flow-through assembly at a lower end of the casing part into a space between an outer surface of the casing part and the hole.
