The apparatus may receive a first audio frame after the receiving of the plurality of audio frames. The apparatus may detect a second audio frame being lost in transmission. The second audio frame is transmitted after the plurality of audio frames and before the first audio frame. The apparatus may identify an audio segment within the plurality of audio frames that best matches a reference audio pattern of the plurality of audio frames. The identified audio segment may be received before a last audio frame of the plurality of audio frames. The apparatus may reconstruct the second audio frame based on audio data received subsequent to the identified audio segment.

Wireless data communication method, for communication between a computer peripheral device and a receiver device including transmitting a datastream from a computer peripheral device to a receiver device, with a wireless communication protocol which may operate with a first frequency band and a second frequency band. Each of the bands may be divided into a plurality of sub-bands, which may be further divided into frequency channels. During a first time slot, the operation frequency channel may be a first operation frequency channel selected according to a first frequency hopping sequence from the frequency channels of one sub-band of the first frequency band. During a second time slot, the operation frequency channel may be selected according to a second frequency hopping sequence from the frequency channels of one sub-band of the plurality of sub-bands of the second frequency band. Adjacent frequency channels of any of the frequency hopping sequences may be of different sub-bands. A device implementing the method is also envisaged.

The system may comprise a host device; a human interface device; and a receiver device wirelessly connectable to the human interface device and detachably couplable to the host device. The human interface device may generate input data for a user input, generate control information associated with the input data, and transmit the input data and the control information to the receiver device. The receiver device may transmit the input data to the host device. The receiver device may transmit an acknowledgement packet to the human interface device if the control information indicates that an acknowledgement of receipt of the input data is required, and perform a task for establishing a new wireless connection if the control information indicates that an acknowledgement of receipt of the input data is not required.
