Provided is a development roll for electrophotography devices in which image defects are suppressed and which achieve both maintenance of high charging properties and discharging properties. The development roll is provided with a shaft member, an elastic substance layer formed on the outer circumference of the shaft member, an intermediate layer formed on the outer circumference of the elastic substance layer, and a surface layer formed on the outer circumference of the intermediate layer. The volume resistivity of the surface layeris within the range of 1.0&#xd7;10to 1.0&#xd7;10&#x3a9;&#xb7;cm, and the volume resistivity of the intermediate layeris within the range of 1.0&#xd7;10to 1.0&#xd7;10&#x3a9;&#xb7;cm.

Development roll for electrophotography device

Provided is a cleaning blade. The cleaning blade is used for removing remaining toner which remains on a surface of the target member in an electrophotographic apparatus. The cleaning blade is provided with the blade portion having the edge portion which comes into sliding contact with the target member. The edge portion includes: a substrate of the blade portion; an inner layer extending from a surface of the substrate to the inside of the substrate; and an outer layer extending from a surface of the substrate to an outer outside of the substrate. The inner layer contains at least an acrylic resin or a methacrylate resin, and has a thickness of less than 1 &#x3bc;m. The outer layer contains at least an acrylic resin or a methacrylate resin, and has a thickness of 0.02 &#x3bc;m or less.

Cleaning blade

The disclosure shows a cleaning blade for electrophotographic equipment, the cleaning blade through which both high hardness and low warping are obtained and excellent toner scraping properties are realized. The cleaning blade () includes a blade part () comprising a cured material of a urethane composition containing a polyol, an isocyanate, and a crosslinker or a chain extender. The content of the isocyanate is 28.0 mass % or more with respect to the entire composition. The crosslinker or the chain extender comprises a triol having a molecular weight of 150 or less. The content of the crosslinker or the chain extender is 4.0 mass % or less with respect to the entire composition. The content of the triol having a molecular weight of 150 or less is 0.8 mass % or more with respect to the entire composition.

Cleaning blade for electrophotographic equipment

To provide a composition for a cleaning blade for an electrophotographic apparatus, and a cleaning blade for an electrophotographic apparatus that are capable of suppressing wear, chipping, curling, and contamination. A urethane composition contains (a) a polyester polyol, (b) a polyisocyanate, and (c) a modified silicone oil, wherein the (c) modified silicone oil contains a polysiloxane block and an alkylene oxide block, the alkylene oxide block having a hydroxyl group protected by a protecting group, and the (c) modified silicone oil has no hydroxyl group. A cleaning blade is made of a molding of the urethane composition and contains a polyurethane elastomer and the (c) modified silicone oil.

Composition for cleaning blade for electrophotographic apparatus and cleaning blade for electrophotographic apparatus

Provided is a developing roll for use in an electrophotographic machine capable of preventing an ion conductive agent from blooming and retaining long-term charge decay characteristics. The roll () includes a shaft (), an elastomeric layer () and a surface layer (), wherein the surface layer contains a composition containing an (A) ingredient defining a binder resin having a functional group reactive with an alkoxy silyl group in a (B) ingredient, and the (B) ingredient defining an ion conductive agent containing a cation having a chemical structure represented by R1-N-R2-Si(OR3), where R1: a cyclic organic group or a linear organic group, R2: a group containing at least (CH2)n, n representing an integer number, and R3: an alkyl group, wherein the cation is bound with the (A) ingredient, and wherein the (B) ingredient is 0.10 to 3 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the (A) ingredient.

Developing roll for electrophotographic machine

The charging roller has a base layer formed of an electroconductive rubber composition containing (a) a polar rubber having an unsaturated bond or an ether bond, (b) an ion carrier containing one or more phosphonium salts selected from the group consisting of phosphonium salts having the formulae (1) and (2), and (c) a cross-linker, wherein the amount of (b) component ranges from 0.1 to 10 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the (a) component. The formula (1) represents [(HC)(CH)P]+(CFSO)N&#x2014;, and the formula (2) represents [(HC)(CH)P]+(CFSO)&#x2014;.

Electroconductive rubber composition for electrophotographic apparatuses and charging roller for use in electrophotographic apparatuses manufactured using the same

A charging roll includes a shaft and an ionically conductive elastic layer formed around the shaft. The ionically conductive elastic layer is formed of a rubber composition free of any electron-conductive agent and containing 0.7 to 1.0 parts by weight of a peroxide cross-linking agent per 100 parts by weight of an ion-conductive rubber. The ion-conductive rubber is formed of at least one of an epichlorohydrin rubber and a nitrile rubber, and a percentage of a rubber component in the ionically conductive elastic layer measured by thermogravimetric analysis is 90% or more by weight.
