The invention relates to a method of using a suspension smelting furnace and to a suspension smelting furnace and to a concentrate burner (). The concentrate burner () comprises a first gas supply device () for feeding a first gas () into the reaction shaft () and a second gas supply device () for feeding a second gas () into the reaction shaft (). The first gas supply device () comprises a first annular discharge opening (), which which is arranged concentrically with the mouth () of a feeder pipe (), so that the first annular discharge opening () surrounds the feeder pipe (). The second gas supply device () comprises a second annular discharge opening (), which is arranged concentrically with the mouth () of the feeder pipe (), so that the second annular discharge opening () surrounds the feeder pipe () opening ().

Method of using a suspension smelting furnace, a suspension smelting furnace, and a concentrate burner

The invention relates to a suspension smelting furnace comprising a reaction shaft (), an uptake shaft (), and a lower furnace (), as well as a concentrate burner () for feeding reaction gas and fine solids into the reaction shaft () of the suspension smelting furnace. The concentrate burner () comprises a fine solids discharge channel () that is radially limited by the wall () of the solids discharge channel, a fine solids dispersion device () in the fine solids discharge channel (), an annular reaction gas channel () that surrounds the fine solids discharge channel () and is radially limited by the wall () of the annular reaction gas channel (), and a cooling block () that surrounds the annular reaction gas channel (). The cooling block () is a component that is manufactured by a continuous casting method. The cooling block () is attached to the arch () of the reaction shaft () and the wall () of the annular reaction gas channel (), so that the discharge orifice () of the annular reaction gas channel () is formed between a structure (), which is jointly formed by the cooling block () and the wall () of the annular reaction gas channel (), and the wall () of the solids discharge channel. The invention also relates to a concentrate burner () for feeding reaction gas and fine solids into the reaction shaft () of a suspension smelting furnace.

Suspension smelting furnace and a concentrate burner

The invention relates to method and to an arrangement for removing outgrowth in a suspension smelting furnace. The suspension smelting furnace comprising a reaction shaft having a reaction shaft structure. The reaction shaft comprises at least one opening for an outgrowth removal means. The movable piston is arranged such that the movable piston can move in the opening in the reaction shaft and into the reaction shaft to push possible outgrowth in the reaction shaft.

Method and arrangement for removing outgrowth in a suspension smelting furnace

The invention relates to a method of using a suspension smelting furnace and to a suspension smelting furnace and to a concentrate burner (). The concentrate burner () comprises a first gas supply device () for feeding a first gas () into the reaction shaft () and a second gas supply device () for feeding a second gas () into the reaction shaft (). The invention relates to a method of controlling the thermal balance of the reaction shaft of a suspension smelting furnace and to a concentrate burner for feeding reaction gas and pulverous solid mater into the reaction shaft of the suspension smelting furnace. In the method, endothermic material () is fed by the concentrate burner () to constitute part of the mixture formed from the powdery solid matter () and reaction gas (), so that a mixture containing the powdery solid matter (), reaction gas () and endothermic material () is formed in the reaction shaft (). The concentrate burner () comprises cooling agent feeding equipment () for adding the endothermic material () to constitute part of the mixture, which is formed from the pulverous solid matter () that discharges from the orifice () of the feeder pipe and the reaction gas () that discharges through the annular discharge orifice ().

Method of controlling the thermal balance of the reaction shaft of a suspension smelting furnace and a concentrate burner

A concentrate burner of a suspension smelting or suspension converting furnace includes a reaction gas feed, a powdery solid matter feed and a concentrate distributor. An arrangement for feeding powdery solid matter to the concentrate burner includes a first powdery solid matter discharge pipe for feeding powdery solid matter into the powdery solid matter feed of the concentrate burner. The first powdery solid matter discharge pipe is provided with a first partition, which divides solid matter, for dividing the first powdery solid matter discharge pipe into two essentially similar discharge pipe parts. The powdery solid matter feed of the concentrate burner comprise an annular concentrate discharge channel that surrounds the concentrate distributor of the concentrate burner. Each discharge pipe part of the first powdery solid matter discharge pipe is at least partly divided into two discharge pipe portions by a second partition.

Arrangement for evening out powdery solid matter feed of a concentrate burner of a suspension smelting or suspension converting furnace

A concentrate burner for feeding a pulverous concentrate mixture and reaction gas into a reaction shaft of a flash smelting furnace. The concentrate burner includes a feeder pipe for feeding a concentrate mixture into the reaction shaft and a dispersing device for directing dispersing gas to the concentrate mixture flowing around the dispersing device. For feeding the reaction gas into the reaction shaft, a gas supply device is provided which includes a reaction gas chamber for mixing the reaction gas with the concentrate mixture, and for directing the concentrate mixture to the side by the dispersing gas. The reaction gas chamber includes a turbulent flow chamber, to which an inlet channel opens tangentially for directing the reaction gas to the reaction gas chamber in a tangential direction. In the inlet channel, an adjusting member is arranged for adjusting the cross-sectional area of the reaction gas flow.
