A liquid storage and dispensing device with a filter for removing minerals and a UV light source for killing pathogens existing in a liquid. A liquid is introduced into the device via the inlet. The liquid passes through the filter into a collector. The filtered liquid flows from the collector through a thru passage into a UV chamber. The UV light source emits UV rays through a UV transmissive wall into the interior portion of the UV chamber. Exposure to the UV light kills pathogens present in the filtered liquid. Substantially purified liquid can then be dispensed from an outlet.

An electric toothbrush has a housing incorporating a motor with a drive shaft rotatable about a longitudinal axis A. A shank extends beyond the housing and is integrally formed with a brush head at its remote end. The shank is pivotably supported intermediate its length in an end wall of the housing. An eccentric cam mounted to the shaft cooperates with a cup on a near end of the shank to form a mechanical coupling. When the shaft rotates both the near end and the brush head moves through a circular path.

Electric toothbrush

A toothbrush has a handle provided with a rigid curve wire axle at one end. A hollow shank and toothbrush head rotatable and snugly fit to the axle. In the configuration shown bristles on the head are concave. The bristle formation can be made convex by rotating the shank on the axle by 180&deg;. This enables the bristle formation to be concave (as shown) or convex, and adopt configurations in between as desired by a user where the curvature is less concave (or less convex) by rotating the head to intermediary relative positions on the axle

Toothbrush

An electric toothbrush includes a drive shaft that is reciprocated by a motor in a brush handle (not shown). The reciprocating movement is directly transferred to a piston that serves to pump water from a reservoir via a water passage to a water jet nozzle in the midst of brushes.

A dental flosser has a bushing with a lateral pin that engages in a spiral groove in a sleeve that surrounds the bushing. The bushing is driven backwards and forwards by a shaft and this causes a flosser element base anchor to be rotated clockwise and counterclockwise, and moved backwards and forwards at the same time during use.
