At least one input signal based on at least one physical quantity of at least one machine part is transformed into at least one feature. A neural network predicts a class and/or a severity of at least one machine failure based on the at least one feature.

Automated health state classifier for rotating machines based on expert knowledge

A computer-implemented method and system for Condition Monitoring (CM) for rotating machines. The method and system include continuously receiving samples of the envelope of physical quantity data such as speed, vibration, or current, updating in real-time accumulator variables, computing in real-time spectral features based on the accumulator variables and supplemental variables, and determining a condition based on the real-time spectral features. The spectral features, exemplary as amplitudes at specific frequencies, are computed in real-time by a Goertzel Algorithm. The totality of the accumulator variables is sufficient to determine the condition of the rotating machine and the supplemental variables are temporarily needed for computing the spectral features. The one or more supplemental variables, such as memory addresses, are not based on the received samples of the input data.

A sensor device includes a supply battery for supplying energy to the sensor device, a sensor unit for detecting an operating-state data of the supply battery, and a communication unit for transmitting the operating-state data can be transmitted to an evaluation system. In a method for determining loading of a bearing supporting a rotor of an electrical machine, the rotational speed and angular acceleration of the rotor is determined, matrix elements of a matrix are assigned to respective ranges of the angular acceleration and to respective ranges of the rotational speed, when the electrical machine is operated in a respective range of the angular acceleration and the rotational speed corresponding to the respective matrix element for a predefined time unit, an elementary variable, for example a value of 1, is added to the respective matrix element, and the loading of the bearing is determined as a weighted sum of the matrix elements. Thus, the matrix forms a representation of the operating time of the bearing and of the service life over time in relation to the rotational speeds and angular accelerations. The loading can be shown on a display.

A rotating element is mounted in a base body for rotation about an axis of rotation. An excitation circuit generates an excitation signal. A divider circuit divides the excitation signal into a base signal supplied to an evaluation circuit and into an outgoing signal supplied to a transceiving antenna. A waveguide circulates in an annular manner about the axis of rotation. The rotating element comprises a termination element protruding into the waveguide and has a reflective side. The transceiving antenna emits an electromagnetic signal into the waveguide propagating in two directions which is reflected from the reflective side and returned to and received by the transceiving antenna which generates in response a receiving signal supplied to the evaluation circuit which determines a position of rotation of the rotating element in relation to a reference position of rotation by evaluating the base signal and receiving signal in a resolution region.

Angular sensor with annular waveguide as material measure

An angular sensor includes a base body in which a rotating element is mounted for rotation about an axis of rotation. At least one transmitting antennae is arranged on the base body and each emits a transmission signal. A reflector element extends over part of the periphery, observed tangentially in relation to the axis of rotation, reflects each transmission signal, and is arranged on the rotating element, at a radial reflector distance from the axis of rotation. A plurality of receiving antennae are arranged on the base body, the receiving antennae receiving the reflected signals as a receiving signal and supplying the receiving signal to an evaluation device. Angular sensor for detecting position of rotation using radar technology

First subareas of a layer of powder applied on a substrate are heated locally with a process beam so as to heated, but not yet interconnect the grains of the powder in the first subareas. A temperature profile of the applied layer is evaluated proximate to the first subarea as a function of the distance from the respective first subarea and/or the time. The local thermal conductivity and/or local diffusivity are determined for the respective first subarea based on the temperature profile. Second subareas of the applied layer which at least partially overlap the first subareas are then heated locally with the process beam so as to interconnect the grains of the powder in the second subareas. A process variable of the process beam influencing heating of the second subareas is determined based on the local thermal conductivity or diffusivity previously determined for the at least partially overlapping first subarea.

Additive manufacturing

In a method for testing a bar winding of a rotor of a rotating electrical machine, a rotor temperature is detected by a thermal radiation sensor, which is arranged in a stator of the rotating electrical machine. A thermal radiation sensor is used with a resolution suitable for the thermal detection of individual bars of the bar winding. The rotor is rotated at a speed that is lower than a limit frequency of the thermal radiation sensor divided by the number of bars of the bar winding, and the thermal radiation of the rotor is detected by the thermal radiation sensor. The thermal radiation sensor is sampled at a sampling frequency that is higher than the speed of the rotor multiplied by the number of bars and the sampled values of the thermal radiation sensor are evaluated.

Method for testing a bar winding of a rotor of a rotating electrical machine

The invention relates to a method and arrangement having an electric machine, comprising a stator () and a rotor () and an infrared temperature sensor, wherein the detection field of the infrared temperature sensor is directed at an outer surface of the rotor (). The infrared temperature sensor is a thermopile () for radiometrically contactlessly detecting a temperature of the rotor (), the thermopile being arranged in a slot of the stator () and being compatible with standard slot-sealing-wedge components of the electric machine with regard to assembly, and thus enables the operational monitoring of the thermal state of an electric machine in a novel manner, such that adapted power states can be achieved.
