An apparatus for feeding wire to wire-processing machines, in which the wire is drawn off from a pay-off reel holding a wire coil and rotatable about a spindle and fed to a wire feeder upstream of the wire-processing machine, wherein at least one wire-deflecting device, via which the wire drawn off from the pay-off reel is guided and released towards the wire feeder, is connected downstream of the pay-off reel in the wire draw-off direction, and wherein a wire-storage device is provided upstream of the wire feeder, this apparatus presents a guide path, forming a closed circuit, on which the wire runs and the diameter of which can be altered between a smaller value corresponding to an inner radial position of the guide path and a larger value corresponding to an outer radial position of the guide path, wherein the guide path is spring-pretensioned towards the outer radial position.

Apparatus for feeding wire to wire processing machines

A support jaw arrangement for sliding lateral support of rod-shaped and tubular workpieces prior to their entrance into a forming groove of a bending head of a bending machine. The support jaw arrangement includes two support jaws, one on each side of the workpiece. Each support jaw is fastened on a holder to a support bracket which, guided in a longitudinally displaceable manner on a guide block, is displaceable by a drive device from an initial position retracted against the direction of transport of the workpiece parallel to the same, to an end position extended in the direction of transport of the workpiece. One support jaw supports the workpiece in a laterally sliding manner in a region from its tangential entrance into the forming groove, up to a point at a predetermined distance in front of the same while the other support jaw assumes a retracted initial position.

Support jaw arrangement for sliding lateral support of rod-shaped and tubular workpieces in bending machines

In an arrangement for bending tubular workpieces, in which a workpiece is supplied to a bending head for bending and is supported from the inside during the bending process in the bending region by means of a mandrel introduced into the workpiece, with the mandrel comprising a mandrel element and a traveler, sitting movably in the workpiece and the traveler being longitudinally displaceable in the workpiece by means of a feed device (), the traveler is produced from a magnetizable material and the feed device comprises a magnetic device which is applied to a position corresponding to the position of the traveler outside of the workpiece, with a positive magnetic engagement being formed between the magnetic device and the traveler, with the traveler being displaceable in the workpiece via the magnetic device.

Arrangement for bending tubular workpieces

A bending apparatus for rod-shaped and tubular workpieces, includes a rotatable bending mandrel with a bending groove is provided with a wrinkle smoothener, which immediately precedes the bending mandrel, and two sliding jaws. In order to change the bending direction around the bending mandrel, the sliding jaws can be moved to the other side thereof. In doing so, the sliding jaw on the side of the bending mandrel is arranged freely rotatable on a support axis, which extends parallel to the axis of rotation of the bending mandrel and whose position relative to the bending mandrel can be shifted parallel to the feeding direction of the workpiece. The sliding jaw is provided such that the end of its forming groove facing towards the bending mandrel can be placed in contact with the bending groove by shifting the support axis and, thus, its forming groove tangentially joins said groove.

Bending apparatus for rod-shaped and tubular workpieces

On a machine for bending rod-shaped or tubular workpieces, which includes a bending head having a bending mandrel mounted on a rotational axis and rotatable by means of a rotary drive, and having a clamping device for pressing the workpiece to be bent against a forming groove on the bending mandrel and also a feeding device for the workpiece to be processed, whereby the clamping device is positionable relative to the bending mandrel and can is also pivotable concentrically to the rotational axis of the bending mandrel, the clamping device is attached to two mutually independent rotary drives, one of which performs its pivoting movement about the rotational axis of the bending mandrel, and via the other of which it can be moved with respect to the bending mandrel by using an interposed conversion transmission that converts a rotary motion to a linear motion, whereby the bending head includes three concentrically nested rotary shafts for transmitting the drive of the three rotary drives to the bending mandrel, to the conversion transmission and to the clamping device, each of which is connected to one of the rotary drives.

Machine for bending rod-shaped or tubular workpieces

A bending machine for the bending of tube, rod and bar shaped workpieces () includes a machine base unit (), a collet () for mounting a workpiece, and a tool assembly () with at least one bending tool. The bending tool can be opened and closed in the transverse direction of the workpiece by the relative movement of tool components to form a workpiece holder. The tool assembly () is mounted on a swivel support () to rotate around a tool axis of rotation () extending axially of the workpiece, and the swivel support () is mounted on the machine base unit () to be rotatable around a swivel support axis of rotation () extending in the axial direction () of the workpiece. The swivel support axis of rotation () and the tool axis of rotation (), and the tool axis of rotation () and the workpiece holder, are radially offset relative to one another.
