An adjusting device for a vehicle component includes a first fitting part arranged on an axis of rotation and a second fitting part arranged on the axis of rotation. The relative position of the first fitting part and the second fitting part with respect to each other is adjustable. The adjusting device also includes an eccentric arranged on and rotatable about the axis of rotation and a plurality of first rotating members arranged concentrically about the eccentric. The first rotating members are configured to roll along the first fitting part. The adjusting device further includes a plurality of subcomponents that each include a first fitting-part element of the first fitting part and a second fitting-part element of the second fitting part. The plurality of subcomponents are arranged substantially symmetrically with respect to a plane of symmetry that extends at right angles to the axis of rotation.

Recliner mechanism

Disclosed is an adjustment fitting for a motor vehicle component, especially a vehicle seat. Said adjustment fitting comprises a first part and a second part which is rotatable relative to the first part about a rotational shaft by means of a gear unit. The gear unit encompasses a first gear on the first part of the fitting and a second gear on the second part of the fitting, the second gear being disposed eccentric to the first gear. Two wedge segments are provided for securing the eccentric arrangement of the first gear relative to the second gear. The inventive adjustment fitting is characterized in that the wedge segments have an inner radius and an outer radius while the adjustment fitting further comprises a decelerating element which is fitted with an extension that starts at the rotational shaft, runs in an axial direction, and corresponds approximately to the outer radius of the wedge segments.

Adjustment fitting for a motor vehicle component, and method for securing the locking effect of an adjustment fitting

A component for a vehicle seat includes a plurality of plate-like elements generally parallel to one another, with pairs of the elements being connected, such as by welding. At least one element of each pair has a bend that creates a gap spacing with respect to the other element of the pair. Each element is connected to a next element to form a further pair in the region of the spacing.

A structure includes a first part provided in a first plane and second and third parts provided in a second plane located under the first plane. The second and third parts are welded together at a welded seam. The first part has at least one recess configured to receive a welding mechanism that forms the welded seam on the second and third parts. Another structure includes an 'n' number of layers, n being at least three. Adjacent layers are in contact with one another and are connected by a welded seam. The structure also includes an outer surface. The layers between the outer surface and the respective welded seam define a recess through which a welding mechanism is configured to be passed as far as the respective layers to be welded to produce the welded seam.

An anchoring device for a seat that can be installed and removed inside a vehicle without the use of tools has at least one locking unit () with a first functional part attached in stationary fashion to the vehicle, and a second functional part attached to the seat, the functional parts being constituted on the one hand by an undercut extension element () and on the other hand by a receiving part () having a locking receptacle (), in such a way that for mounting, the seat can be inserted in a direction approximately perpendicular to a seat base plane () and is then displaceable parallel to the seat base plane () into a detent position. In the detent position, the extension element () sits in the locking receptacle () in a manner secured against perpendicular relative motions. For releasable retention of the functional parts in the detent position, the receiving part () has assigned to it a catch element () which is pivotable about an axis () that is generally perpendicular to the seat base plane () and has a retention segment () with which it fits around the extension element () in a retention position and retains it against rearward shifting out of the detent position. The catch element () is joined to an actuation device (), and configured in the region of the retention segment (), in such a way that after perpendicular insertion, the seat is constrainedly displaceable by means of the actuation device () into the detent position, by the fact that the catch element () grasps the extension element () and, upon pivoting, pulls the functional parts into the detent position.
