The embodiments herein relate to method performed by a measurement device, the method comprising: receiving via higher layer signalling, information on resources or resource sets of one or more radio transmission devices transmitting one or more beam signals associated with said resources or resource sets; performing channel measurements of the one or more beam signals, per spatial filter or receiver beam of the measurement device; storing, over at least one time frame, the channel measurements into measurement groups, where each measurement group corresponds to the channel measurements performed using the same spatial filter of the measurement device; and reporting the measurement groups to a network node or correlating the measurements of each measurement group with reference data for each available time frame individually and reporting the result of the correlation to the network node. The embodiments also relate to a method performed by a network node.

Methods and apparatuses for fingerprinting employing function-based matching patterns

A system and a method for monitoring grouped objects with a gateway and a plurality of radio nodes attachable to the objects. Each radio node has a computing unit, a short-range communications unit and an energy supply unit. One of the radio nodes or the gateway has a localization unit. Optionally, one of the radio nodes also has a long-range communications unit. The computing unit contains a control program for the processing of predetermined tasks in radio nodes, which is designed for the control of bi-directional communications between the radio nodes via the short-range communications unit for the formation of an ad hoc network. The control program undertakes the control of a tuning process between the radio nodes and selects one of the radio nodes for the processing of one of the predetermined tasks, the selected node at that instant being best suited for the task according to predetermined criteria.

System and method for the monitoring of grouped objects

A mobile device communicates with a base station according to a communication protocol, the communication protocol having a first message for signaling a readiness of the base station for a normal login operation of the mobile device with the base station and a second message for signaling a readiness of the base station for an ad-hoc login operation of the mobile device with the base station, so that the ad-hoc login information of the ad-hoc login operation can be distinguished from the normal login information of the normal login operation. To this end, the mobile device has a receiver, an interpreter and a processor, which is formed so as to perform the ad-hoc login operation when the readiness of the base station for an ad-hoc login operation is signaled.

A method for monitoring a group of objects, and an arrangement to implement the method includes providing each object of the group to be monitored with a radio node of a self-networking radio network, whereby each radio node within the group has a unique identification. The radio nodes of the group automatically reveal themselves at a starting time and network with one another. The radio nodes of the group monitor themselves from the starting time and convey at least one specified change in an initial mutual situation. At least one of the radio nodes when notifying or recognizing a specified change, conveys information concerning the change to a monitoring unit and/or controls an alarm transmitter for activating an alarm.

An apparatus for determining a current position of a mobile device in an environment in which at least one transmitter is disposed includes a means for providing a cartographic map of the environment, the cartographic map including field strength reference values at reference points, a means for determining a field strength value, a means for deriving a reference point within reach that can be reached starting from a previous position of the mobile device by movement of the mobile device in the environment within a predetermined time interval, from the cartographic map of the environment, and a comparator for comparing the field strength value with a field strength reference value at the reference point within reach in order to determine the current position. By including the cartographic map of the environment, the position determination is simplified.
