Suggested is a liquid and transparent blend of UV filters, comprising, consisting or essentially consisting of (a) at least one solid UVA filter dissolved in (b) at least one liquid UVB filter exhibiting a linear UV absorbance curve with a variance of +/&#x2212;10% in the range of 290 to 360 nm as measured from a solution containing 10 mg/l of said mixture in ethanol, wherein said solid UVA filters are selected from the group consisting of Avobenzone, Bemotrizinol and mixtures thereof.

Liquid and transparent blend of UV filters

The present invention relates to a mixture comprising (i) one or a plurality of 1,2-alkane diols with 5 through 8 carbon atoms and (ii) one or a plurality of ammonium-, sodium- or potassium-R-sarcosinates, wherein the structural element Rrepresents alkanoyl, alkenoyl or alkadienoyl with 12 through 22 carbon atoms, and optionally (iii) one or a plurality of sodium- or potassium-C10-C16-alkyl-sulfoacetates.
