A high pressure swivel system provides fluid communication on a turret-moored vessel between a swivel core member being in fixed rotational alignment with a seabed mooring system and a swivel revolving member being in fixed rotational alignment with the hull of the vessel. The revolving member has upper and lower radially extending surfaces. On each of the radially extending surfaces are a series of radially spaced apart pressure seals. Hydraulic barrier fluid pressure is regulated in each of the volumes formed between the pressure seals. The pressures in the volumes are regulated such that a process fluid pressure higher than could be tolerated by any one individual pressure seal is safely accommodated by sharing the high process fluid pressure between or among two or more of the radially spaced apart pressure seals.

High pressure swivel system for turret-moored vessel

The present invention regards a system for transferral of at least one cryogenic fluid between two objects. At least one transfer pipe extending from the installation extends into a receiving room in the vessel, the transfer pipe being connectable with piping on the vessel through a connection in the receiving room. The receiving room is closable, the connection, and or at least a part of the construction forming the receiving room and or other elements in the receiving room are constructed to withstand eventual leakage of the cryogenic fluid and the system also provides for evacuating the receiving room for eventual spilled fluid. The invention also regards a flange for use in the system.

A fluid pump system comprises an electrical drive unit and a rotary pump comprising a rotatable shaft and a drive element formed from a number of impellers attached to the shaft for causing flow within a process fluid. The electrical drive unit comprises an electrical stator and an electrical rotor attached to the shaft via a coupling, the electrical stator being disposed adjacent to the electrical rotor. The electrical stator is disposed within a first casing and the rotary pump and the electrical rotor are disposed within a second casing. The first casing contains a first fluid and the second casing contains a second fluid.

Fluid pump system

The present invention regards a subsea valve system comprising a valve, a fluid supply line connectable to a remote fluid supply and in connection with an inlet of the valve, an outlet of the valve connectable to an outlet fluid line and a fluid tight housing at least partly enclosing the valve. According to the invention the fluid supply line comprises an outlet within the housing, establishing a pressure within the housing mainly equal to the pressure of the supply fluid at the inlet of the valve. The invention also regards a method for protecting a subsea valve system.

A flexible joint for transfer of especially a cryogenic fluid includes a first element () and a second element (). The first element () comprising an internal, partly curved surface (), the second element () comprising a corresponding outer partly curved surface () with at least a sealing element (') between the curved surfaces (). The first element () comprises a first connection part () and the second element comprises a second connection part () connectable to the first connection part () with a flexible part (&#x2032;) between the connection of the two connectable parts () and the sealing element (). Thereby it is formed a void () which may be pressurized with an inert gas at a pressure equal to or higher than the pressure of the fluid to be transferred through the joint.

A system for supplying cooling water to a process on board a floating vessel for the production of hydrocarbons, wherein the vessel () is anchored by means of a bottom-anchored turning unit () mounted in a receiving space () in the hull () of the vessel and allowing turning of the vessel () about the turning unit, and wherein the turning unit () supports a swivel unit () for the transfer of hydrocarbons from production risers () extending between the seabed and the turning unit (), the system comprising a conduit means () depending from the vessel () to a depth for taking in cooled sea water, and a pump means () for pumping of the sea water from the conduit to a place of use for the process. The turning unit () is designed as a seawater swivel, the unit being provided with one or more passages () for receiving upper end portions of respective seawater risers () constituting the conduit means, and with a means for transferring sea water from the upper end portions of the risers () to an annulus () arranged at the boundary surface between mutually movable parts () of the turning unit () or between the tuning unit () and the vessel hull (), and communicating with one or more passages () arranged in the vessel hull and leading to said place of use, a seawater sealing means () being arranged on each side of the annulus ().
