The method is used to produce connecting elements (). The connecting elements () are intended for coupling functional elements for applications in the field of oil drilling technology. The connecting element comprises two end pieces () and at least one spacer () connecting the end pieces to each other. At least one spacer () is connected to at least one of the end pieces () by pressure welding.

The handling apparatus is used for positioning and holding of drill pipes. At least, a handling apparatus for the drill pipes is so arranged that it can be positioned both horizontally and vertically and it is equipped with a controllable clamping apparatus for the drill pipes. In the vicinity of the holding apparatus, a centering apparatus is arranged for the drill pipe to be held.

Handling device for pipes

A device for vertically holding pipes, which includes a base element in the form of a segment of a cylinder, a door element pivotably connected to the base element by at least one pivot joint, and a fastener assembly mounted opposite the pivot joint. The fastener assembly has a pivotable catch with a locking profile that, when in the locked state, grips a locking pin from behind. A safety pin and a safety plate are located in the area of the pivotable catch, and, depending on its position, the safety plate releases or closes at least one opening for the safety pin.

Device for vertically holding pipes

An apparatus for vertically supporting pipes in oil production rigs. The apparatus includes an outer frame and a centering device. In the area of an inner side of the outer frame, at least one wedge device is provided for clamping the pipe. The outer frame is connected to the centering device so as to be vertically aligned and facing upwardly. A wedge device may additionally include a positioning device and a carrier provided with at least one wedge.

Apparatus for vertically supporting pipes

A method and apparatus for raising or lowering a tubular in a well wherein bails are conventionally coupled to elevator ears and locking assemblies secured to the outer sides of the lower bail eyes for remote controlled clamping to nipples integral with and extending from the elevator ears. The locking assemblies contain upper and lower jaws which, by a remotely controlled actuator, move in linear relation to each other and have concave clamping surfaces which join together to form a circular opening for receiving the elevator ear nipples. The nipples have enlarged diameters at their distal ends to prevent removal from the closed jaws. A remotely controlled link spreading mechanism spreads the bails to accommodate an elevator. Elevator ears may contain internal conduits for communication of power and control signals between the suspended elevator and the bails. The passages mate with a remotely actuated connector assembly.

Hands-free bail-elevator locking device with combined power/control connector, bail spreader and method for use

A dual elevator system and method which, in one embodiment, includes two elevators and a table for supporting one or both of the elevators thereon, for shuttling an elevator between well center and offset standby positions, and for hands-free coupling and uncoupling power and control to an elevator on the table by remote actuation. Each elevator has a rear power and control connector and hitch which connect to complementary connectors and hitch located on a table shuttle mechanism by remote actuation. The table shuttle mechanism is driven by an actuator coupled between the shuttle mechanism and table frame which moves an elevator hitched to said shuttle mechanism between well center and standby positions.
