A process for monitoring a patient by a monitoring device is provided in which simplified monitoring of the patient can be carried out on the basis of a suitable selection of the parameter values and/or ranges displayed in a special manner. A suitable device () is provided for carrying out the process.

A compact combination sensor is provided for physiological parameters, which can be worn behind the ear. The combination sensor has a heat flux sensor () for detecting two temperatures (Th, Th) for determining the body core temperature (T), an acoustic sensor () for measuring the heart rate (HR) and for detecting speech signals, as well as a measured signal evaluating unit (). A device for guiding a person along a traveled path enables the wearer of the device to be guided back along the traveled path in an electronically supported manner even under conditions under which orientation is difficult. The present invention relates to a sieve electrode for connection to a nerve stump, which is composed of a thin flexible substrate () with a plurality of ports () for nerve filaments and several electrodes () that are disposed on at least some of said ports () on said substrate () and adapted for being electrically contacted via conductors () on said substrate (), as well as of at least one counter-electrode (). The substrate () presents tabs () protruding from the edge for fixing the substrate () on a face of the nerve stump, which serve, at the same time, as carrier of the counter electrode (). With this sieve electrode a neuro-technological interface is provided that permits a low-lesion contact with the nerve stump at a maximum of useable surface for the ports.
