The pylon, intended to support a flying vehicle engine, includes a primary structure formed by at least one longeron and one panel, the panel including at least one end part provided with a notch, the longeron being provided with an end adapted to be positioned in the notch, the panel and the longeron being assembled by welding a part of the end to a part of the notch. A welded primary structure enables minimization of the blanks of parts associated with the longerons and with the panels by avoiding having recourse to the production of edges.

An engine assembly with an electric motor that includes a cooling system of which a heat sink portion is arranged in an exhaust cone downstream of the fan driven by the electric motor, that is designed to effect thermal exchanges with a wall of the exhaust cone. Such an electric rear fan arrangement with boundary layer ingestion enables a cold air flow coming from the fan when the engine assembly is in operation to be used to cool the different components of the engine assembly.

The manufacture of structural elements for aircraft requires the use of complex and costly methods, particularly in the case of parts of elongate overall shape and variable thickness or cross section made of composite material. The disclosure herein proposes to overcome this problem by a method that allows the manufacture of a structural part from a preform made of composite material of simple shape obtained by pultrusion and of one or more reinforcing elements made of composite material and secured by cocuring with the preform to a region of this preform which region is to be reinforced.
