A method for touch sensing enhancement implemented in a single chip, a single chip capable of achieving touch sensing enhancement, and a computing apparatus are introduced. The single chip is used to be coupled to a display panel with a touch sensor and a fingerprint sensor. The computing apparatus may include the display panel, the single chip, and a processing unit, wherein the single chip is coupled between the display panel and processing unit. The method includes obtaining touch sensing data by a touch sensing module disposed within the single chip and coupled to the touch sensor; obtaining fingerprint sensing data by a fingerprint sensing module disposed within the single chip and coupled to the fingerprint sensor; and generating output touch data based on the touch sensing data and the fingerprint sensing data. With the contribution of the fingerprint sensing data, touch sensing enhancement can be achieved.

Method for touch sensing enhancement implemented in single chip, single chip capable of achieving touch sensing enhancement, and computing apparatus

A touch sensing method for a touch panel is provided. The touch sensing method includes following steps. First, a plurality of sensing values of a plurality of sensing points are received so as to calculate a plurality of sensing difference values according to the sensing values. Next, a touch threshold value is determined according to at least one (e.g., a maximum one) of the sensing difference values. Then, the sensing difference values are compared with the touch threshold value to determine the coordinates of the touched ones of the sensing points according to the comparison result.

Touch sensing method capable of dynamically adjusting tough threshold value

A driving method adapted to a touch-sensing display device is provided. The touch-sensing display device includes a display panel and a touch panel. The driving method includes following steps. A plurality of first scan signals of the touch panel are sequentially received, so that a plurality of first data values are obtained. It is determined whether the first data values are less than a difference between a baseline value and a threshold value. When one of the first data values is less than the difference between the baseline value and the threshold value, reporting of a touch coordinate of the touch panel is terminated. Furthermore, a touch-sensing device is also provided.

Driving method for touch-sensing display device and touch-sensing device thereof

A liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of pixel units. Each of the pixel units includes a first thin film transistor and a second thin film transistor, a reflective sheet, and a storage capacitor. The channel width/length ratio of the first thin film transistor and the channel width/length ratio of the second thin film transistor are both larger than 12/5. The reflective sheet is disposed adjacent to the first thin film transistor and the second thin film transistor to reflect ambient light. The storage capacitor is formed at a position overlapping the reflective sheet and has a capacitance of larger than 1 pF.

Power-saving driving method for liquid crystal display device

A resistive touch panel includes a first substrate, a second substratem and a driving circuit. A first conductive layer is disposed on the first substrate and includes a first, a second, a third, and a fourth corners which are different from each other. A first, a second, a third, and a fourth conducting wires are electrically connected to the first, second, third, and fourth corners, respectively. The second substrate is disposed parallel to the first substrate. A second conductive layer is disposed on the second substrate and faces the first conductive layer. A fifth conducting wire is electrically connected to a first side of the second conductive layer while a sixth conducting wire is electrically connected to a second side of the second conductive layer. The driving circuit is electrically connected to the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth conducting wires.

Resistive touch panel and driving method therefor

A touch-sensitive display panel including a first substrate, a second substrate, an active pixel matrix, many driving circuits, many sensing electrodes and many color filter layers is provided. The active pixel matrix includes many pixels. The second substrate has a first surface and a second surface, wherein the first surface faces the active pixel matrix. The driving circuits are corresponding to the edges of the pixels for forming many openings. Each driving circuit includes a first main line and a second main line. The first main line has a first end connected to the active pixel matrix and a second end connected to the first substrate. The second main line is connected to the second end of the first main line through the first substrate. The color filter layers are filled in the openings. The sensing electrodes and the driving circuits are used for detecting at least one touch point.

Touch-sensitive display panel

A color correction method is provided. Grey values of three primary colors of an image data are transformed into initial characteristic values in a color space. Three sets of characteristic values of a to-be-corrected apparatus when the apparatus displays the primary colors respectively are measured. The characteristic values of the image data are transformed into a set of adjusted brightness values of the primary colors according to the characteristic values and a color space transformation equation. Gamma curves of the apparatus when displaying the primary colors are measured and modified to generate new grey-value vs. brightness relationships for the primary colors, so as to obtain adjusted grey values of the primary colors corresponding to the adjusted brightness values.

Color correction method and color correcting integrated chip

An image processing method is provided. An image signal is received and correspondingly converted to an original luminance value, an original first chroma value and an original second chroma value. The original luminance value is adjusted to a modulated luminance value. The modulated luminance value is larger than the original luminance value as the original luminance value is larger than a threshold. The modulated luminance value is less than the original luminance value as the original luminance value is less than the threshold. The original first and second chroma values are linearly adjusted to a modulated first chroma value and a modulated second chroma value according to an original vector between the original first and second chroma values and a white point in a color gamut. The modulated luminance value, the modulated first chroma value and the modulated second chroma value are reconverted to a modulated image signal.

Image processing method capable of improving the display quality of image frames

An image processing apparatus and an image processing method. The image processing apparatus includes a first convolution unit, a weight generator, a second convolution unit, an arithmetic unit and an outputting unit. The first convolution unit performs a convolution to output edge strength according to an original image signal and a high pass filter mask. The weight generator chooses a weight coefficient according to the edge strength. The second convolution unit performs a convolution to output an unsharp image signal according to the original image signal and a low pass filter mask. The arithmetic unit outputs a first sharpening signal according to the original image signal, the unsharp image signal and the weight coefficient. The outputting unit outputs a processed image signal according to the original image signal and the first sharpening signal.

Image processing apparatus and image processing method

The invention provides an image processing method and apparatus thereof. The white component data is extracted from the input R, G, B color data which are the base components of the input image data. A maximum value is extracted from the R, G, B color data and a parameter is generated based on the white component data and the maximum value. The R, G, B color data are multiplied by the parameter to obtain a multiplication result. Subtract the white component data from the R, G, B color data to obtain a subtraction result. The multiplication result and the subtraction result are added together to generate the output R, G, B color data. The output R, G, B color data and the white component data form an output image data with higher brightness.

Image processing method and apparatus

An image processing method for individually processing an image of each pixel unit is provided. A red-green-blue color space signal to be input to a pixel unit is transformed into a first brightness signal. The red-green-blue color space signal includes a first red signal, a first green signal and a first blue signal. The first brightness signal is transformed into a second brightness signal to obtain a contrast factor, wherein the contrast factor is a ratio of the second brightness signal and the first brightness signal. The first red signal, the first green signal and the first blue signal are multiplied by the contrast factor to obtain a second red signal, a second green signal and a second blue signal. The second red signal, the second green signal and the second blue signal are performed by color enhancement to obtain a high contrast and colorful image.

Image processing method

A backlight processing system and a method thereof are provided. The gray level values of pixels in an input frame signal are adjusted and the brightness thereof is decreased correspondingly. During gray level value adjustment, the gray level values of the pixels in dark regions are reduced, and the gray level values of the pixels in bright regions are increased. During backlight adjustment, first, statistics information on distribution of the gray level value versus the number of pixels is obtained according to the gray level distribution of the original frame. The number of pixels at each gray level is accumulated. When the accumulation value reaches a certain value, a reference signal is obtained. The brightness of the backlight is then adjusted according to the reference signal.

Backlight processing system and method thereof

An adjusting apparatus for enhancing the contrast of an image and a method therefor are provided. The adjusting apparatus includes a mask processor, a brightness detecting unit, a brightness adjusting unit, a ratio calculating unit and a contrast enhancing unit. The mask processor retrieves a pixel matrix from an original image according to its mask dimension, and outputs a specific pixel corresponding to a specific position in the pixel matrix. Then, the brightness detecting unit, the brightness adjusting unit and the ratio calculating unit are coupled in series to process the image according to relations of each sub-pixel of the pixel matrix, so as to obtain an adjusting ratio. Thereby, the contrast enhancing unit multiplies the value of the adjusted specific pixel by the adjusting ratio to enhance the contrast of the image.

Adjusting apparatus for enhancing the contrast of image and method therefor

Gray scale distribution of an input image signal is obtained through statistics to determine the contrast characteristic of the input image signal. Based on the gray scale distribution, by a look up table, corresponding gamma setting values are derived and stored in a register. The register outputs the stored gamma setting values to a gray scale voltage generation circuit to adjust the gray scale voltage. Therefore, the display contrast and display quality are improved.
