A fan module and computing device with the fan module are disclosed. The fan module includes a handle configured to actuate between an operation state and a release state. The handle in the release state allows a user to vertically remove the fan module from its respective fan module slot and away from the bottom panel.

A fan system and a computing system with the fan system are disclosed. The fan system includes a fan module. The fan module includes a housing configured to retain a fan and a motor to rotate the fan. The housing includes an air inlet aperture on an air inlet side of the housing and an air outlet aperture on an air outlet side of the housing. The fan system further includes an outlet fan guard coupled to the fan module on the air outlet side of the housing. The outlet fan guard includes at least one flap rotatable between a closed position, covering the air outlet aperture of the housing, and an open position, uncovering the air outlet aperture of the housing. The outlet fan guard further includes at least one spring urging the at least one flap into the closed position.

A quick-disconnect (QD) connector is configured for a server having electronic modules and an internal fluid circulation system for circulating fluid to cool the electronic modules. The QD connector comprises a first manifold, a second manifold, and a mating actuator. The second manifold is removably connected to the first manifold. The fluid is flowable within the internal fluid circulation system of the server in response to the first manifold and the second manifold being in a connected state. The mating actuator includes a handle and a buckle attached to the handle. The handle is movably coupled to the first manifold so as to be movable from a first position to a second position. The buckle is configured to engage the second manifold and to move the first and second manifolds into the connected state in response to the handle being moved from the first position to the second position.

A swing arm lock mechanism for securing a printed circuit board to a bracket includes a main body, a hooked arm, and an aperture in the main body. The hooked arm extends from and is integral with the main body. The hooked arm and main body define an open-ended slot for engaging a lock pin disposed on the bracket. The aperture receives a fastener for securing the main body to the printed circuit board such that the main body and hooked arm can rotate about a central axis of the fastener from a first unlocked position to a second locked position.

A buckle base and buckle-fixing pin combination to be used in fixing a printed circuit board to a sheet includes a buckle base and a buckle-fixing pin. The buckle base is in a generally U-shaped form. The buckle base includes a first leg, a second leg, and a bridge therebetween. The first and second legs are connected to the bridge. The buckle-fixing pin forms a longitudinal slot therein.

A component carrier includes a baseboard, two sidewalls, and an ejector. The two sidewalls extend from opposite sides of the baseboard. The ejector includes a side plate, a handle, and a tab. The side plate is positioned in proximity to a first sidewall of the two sidewalls of the component carrier. The handle extends from a first end of the side plate in a first direction that is generally perpendicular to the side plate. The tab is positioned in proximity to the baseboard, and extends from a second opposing end of the side plate in a second direction that is generally perpendicular to the side plate and opposite to the first direction, the tab coupled to a first connector extending from the baseboard. The baseboard includes a first opening such that a portion of the tab of the ejector is configured to directly contact the electronic component therethrough.

A system includes a computing system, a snap rivet, and a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA). The computing system includes a chassis. The snap rivet includes a rivet and a cap, and the cap is secured to the chassis. The PCBA includes a pin base. The pin base has a washer portion with a hole. The pin base is configured to receive the cap through the hole. The cap protrudes through the hole and mechanically engages the rivet to secure the PCBA to the chassis. The snap rivet provides for tool-less installation and removal of the PCBA from the chassis of the computing system.

A system is disclosed that includes a bay within a computer system, such as a fan bay. The system further includes a baffle positioned around a section of a perimeter of the bay. The baffle is configured to move along the section. The baffle includes a projection that extends into the bay. The projection is configured to abut against a module, such as a fan module, so that the module drives the baffle from a closed position to an open position as the module is inserted into the bay.
