An evaporator () for vaporizing a substance into its gaseous form, which comprises a cylindrical outer shell () and a plate pack () arranged inside the cylindrical shell in its lower part and a droplet separator () arranged above the plate pack. A recirculation of a substance to be vaporized is carried out by using flow guides () arranged tightly between the plate pack and the outer shell and by an ejector pipe () arrangement comprising a collection pipe () arranged inside the outer shell.

Evaporator and a method for vaporizing a substance in an evaporator

The invention relates to a plate heat exchanger and a method for constructing multiple passes in the plate heat exchanger. A plate heat exchanger () according to the invention comprises at least one stopper plate () arranged between the outer surface of the plate pack () and the shell () of the outer casing of the heat exchanger for arranging multiple passes for the second heat exchange medium to the heat exchanger, wherein the stopper plate () is welded to an additional planar structure of the plate pack.

The invention relates to a device () for separating droplets, which comprises&#x2014;an outer casing (), which has a substantially horizontal cylindrical shell () and substantially vertical ends ();&#x2014;an inlet connection () for a substance to be vaporized for leading a substance to be vaporized into the outer casing;'&#x2014;a plate pack () functioning as an evaporator, which is arranged inside the outer casing, in its lower part ();&#x2014;an inlet connection () and an outlet connection () for a heating substance for leading a heating substance into the plate pack and out of it;&#x2014;a gravitational droplet separator (), which is arranged inside the outer casing, above the plate pack;&#x2014;an outlet connection () for vaporized substance for leading the vaporized substance out of the outer casing from its upper part ();&#x2014;one or more filler units () arranged between the outer casing () and the plate pack () for decreasing the liquid volume of the substance to be vaporized inside the outer casing. The invention is suited to be used for example as a flooded evaporator () of a refrigerating machinery and a thereto related droplet separator ().

Device for separating droplets

The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for separating droplets from vaporized refrigerant. The droplet separator according to the invention has a separation vessel, where the droplets gravitationally separate from the vaporized refrigerant. A partition plate has been arranged in the separation vessel, which partition plate divides the separation space into two separation parts. Thereby the refrigerant is arranged&#x2014;to pass firstly through the first separation space on the first side of the partition plate, &#x2014;then to transfer to the second side of the partition plate, i.e. to the second separation space&#x2014;then to pass through the second separation space on the second side of the partition plate.
