A mobile device communicates content to an external presentation device, such as a display device, for display or other presentation at the external presentation device. The mobile device identifies a user handedness of a user of the mobile device. One or more configuration settings for a user interface of the external presentation device are determined based on the user handedness of the user. These configuration settings are, for example, settings for any of various user interface elements displayed by the external presentation device such as icons, buttons, menus, widgets, and so forth. The configuration settings are communicated to the external presentation device, allowing the external presentation device to be configured for or adapted to the user handedness of the user.

The electronic device identifies person(s) within the image stream(s) and compares to a roster of at least one person expected to join the video communication session to produce attendance data. The electronic device determines participation data related to an amount of time that the person(s) gaze toward the image capturing device of the corresponding second electronic device. The electronic device communicates, to a host output device, the attendance data and the participation data of the person(s) during a duration of the video communication session.

These configuration settings are, for example, an indication of a particular audio level, an indication to perform text to speech, an indication of a particular type of color blindness, and so forth. The configuration settings are communicated to the external presentation device, allowing the external presentation device to be configured for or adapted to the impairment of the user.

A method, a system, and a computer program product for contextually sharing content with at least one receiving participant during a video conference. The method includes identifying content to be shared by a sharing participant within a shared space of the video conference that is viewable by the at least one receiving participant. The method further includes determining at least one sharing parameter that defines participant access to view the content and determining sharing credentials for each receiving participant of the video conference. The method further includes comparing the at least one sharing parameter to the sharing credentials of each receiving participant to individually determine which receiving participants are authorized to view the content. The method further includes, in response to the comparison indicating that a receiving participant is not authorized to view the content, omitting or rendering the content unreadable within the shared space for the unauthorized receiving participant.

Contextual content sharing in a video conference

A video conference invite is accessed and names and/or account addresses in the invite are used to obtain information of people listed on the invite from a database. The information can include template photographs of the people and locations of the people. During a video conference that is subject of the invite, when it is determined that a video feed of the video conference indicates that plural participants are together in a single room, images of faces in the video feed are efficiently matched against only template photographs of people in the database indicated by the database as being associated with the room.
