A fluid-filled type vibration damping device including a base component and a tubular mating component. The tubular mating component is externally fitted onto the base component by means of a diameter-constricting caulking with a sealing rubber clasped therebetween so as to constitute a mate-fastened portion. The tubular mating component extends axially outward beyond a sealed section of the mate-fastened portion so as to provide a caulking tube portion. A diametrical position of the tubular mating component at the sealed section is determined by contact of the caulking tube portion against an outside peripheral face of a positioning projection provided on the base component so as to define a diametrical positioning portion. The caulking tube portion is constricted in diameter and held in engagement with an axial edge portion of the positioning projection so as to form an axial positioning portion.

Fluid-filled type vibration damping device and manufacturing method thereof

A second bush of a torque rod is fastened and fixed such that a mating fastening member sandwiches an inner fitting in the axial direction. A rubber stopper on an acceleration side projecting from an outer fitting to the inner fitting is provided such that the rubber thickness increases toward a front end. The inner fitting is provided with a stopper contact forming a recessed space in which the rubber stopper is inserted. After the rubber stopper comes in contact with the stopper contact in a stopper function, the rubber stopper is deformed so as to fill the recessed space, and concurrently bulges in the axial direction to come in contact with the mating fastening member.

Stopper structure of torque rod

A vibration damping device wherein a stopper rubber disposed between opposing faces of a first mounting member and the retainer member so as to project from one of the opposing faces to the other. When the first and second mounting members undergoes relative displacement axially towards each other, a shock produced at a time when an abutting face of the first mounting member comes into contact with the open end face, i.e., an abutting face of the retainer member absorbed by the stopper rubber coming into contact with the other one of the opposing faces until the first mounting member comes into contact with the open end face of the retainer member. A receiving space is disposed between the opposing faces of the first mounting member and the retainer member so that the stopper rubber is accommodated in an elastically compressive-deformed state within the receiving space when the abutting faces contact together.

Vibration damping device

An engine mount having an upper and a lower mounting member connected by a rubber elastic body disposed therebetween, to be installed on a vehicle with a opposition direction of the upper and lower mounting member inclined with respect to a vertical, and an adjustment plate member affixed to the upper mounting member with the adjustment plate member and the lower mounting member elastically connected by the rubber elastic body disposed therebetween. An upper stopper portion is integrally formed by bending a lower end portion of the adjustment plate member toward the upper mounting member so that the upper stopper portion extends generally on a horizontal when installed on the vehicle. A lower stopper portion disposed on the lower mounting member is situated below the upper stopper portion with a gap therebetween. A bound cushion rubber is formed on the upper stopper portion and/or lower stopper portion.

Engine mount

An engine mount including a rubber elastic body connecting an upper and lower mounting plate fixture and a rebound stopper mechanism having an upper stopper integrally formed with an upper mounting plate fixture and a lower stopper integrally formed with a lower mounting plate fixture. The upper stopper is bolted to a power unit at a position deviating more toward the inside of the power unit than a position of an elastic main axis of the rubber elastic body on the upper mounting plate fixture so that the stopper mechanism in the rebound direction is positioned generally vertically below the position where the upper stopper is bolted to the power unit, whereas the lower stopper is bolted to the vehicle body at a position deviating more toward the inside of the power unit than the position of the elastic main axis of the rubber elastic body on the lower fixture.

A fluid-filled cylindrical vibration-damping device wherein an inner and an outer sleeve are elastically connected together at their axially upper ends by an elastic body, at their axially lower ends by a flexible layer, and at their axially intermediate portions by a flexible partition. A pressure-receiving chamber partially defined by the elastic body and an equilibrium chamber partially defined by the flexible layer are disposed on opposite sides of the flexible partition, and are held in fluid communication through an orifice passage defined by an orifice defining member attached to an axially intermediate portion of an inner circumferential surface of the outer sleeve. The flexible partition includes a cylindrical portion extending axially upwardly from an inner peripheral portion of the orifice defining member and an annular curved portion extending radially inwardly from the upper end of the cylindrical portion to be fixed to the inner sleeve.

Fluid-filled cylindrical vibration damping device

A liquid sealed cylinder vibration preventing apparatus including a main shaft metal fitting, an intermediate cylinder metal fitting outside the main shaft substantially coaxial and having windows facing each other in a diameter direction, a rubber elastic body between the main shaft and intermediate cylinder metal fittings to connect the main shaft and intermediate cylinder metal fittings and having a recess opened to each window, a first diaphragm on one of the windows and disposed in one of the recesses, an orifice forming member on the rubber elastic body, the orifice forming member forming a main liquid chamber, a sub liquid chamber, a first orifice passage and a second orifice passage, an outer cylindrical metal fitting outside the intermediate cylinder metal fitting substantially coaxial and having a communicate window communicated with atmosphere, and a second diaphragm held by the outer cylinder metal fitting and facing the second orifice passage.

Liquid sealed cylindrical-type vibration preventing apparatus

A fluid-filled cylindrical elastic mount comprising: a center shaft member; an intermediate sleeve disposed radially outwardly of the center shaft member; an elastic body interposed between and connecting the center shaft member and the intermediate sleeve; and an outer sleeve member disposed on the intermediate sleeve; an orifice member interposed between the intermediate sleeve and the outer sleeve member to divide a first pocket formed in the elastic body into a pressure-receiving chamber and a first equilibrium chamber partially defined by a first flexible diaphragm, to close a second and third pocket diametrically opposite to the first pocket, to provide a second equilibrium chamber having a spring stiffness smaller than that of the first equilibrium chamber and a third equilibrium chamber having a spring stiffness larger than that of the first equilibrium chamber, and to partially define a first, second and third orifice passages for communication of the respective first, second and third equilibrium chambers with the pressure-receiving chamber, and wherein the elastic body has an axial void to provide a second and third flexible diaphragm which partially define the respective second and third equilibrium chambers, and the first orifice passage has a ratio of a cross sectional area to a circumferential length higher than that of the second orifice passage, and lower than that of the third orifice passage.
