A welding system includes a repositionable temperature sensor. The repositionable temperature sensor is configured to detect temperatures corresponding to a workpiece and to provide temperature data corresponding to the detected temperatures. The welding system also includes a power supply configured to receive the temperature data from the temperature sensor. The power supply is configured to modify control of an output of the power supply based on the detected temperature.

Welding system for determining a quality of a welding operation

A system and method for determining weld travel speed. In one example, a welding system includes one or more sensors configured to provide a first indication correspond to a welding arc at a first time and to provide a second indication correspond to the welding arc at a second time. The welding system also includes processing circuitry configured to receive the first indication, to receive the second indication, and to determine a weld travel speed based on a weld length of the workpiece and a difference between the first and second times.

A rotatable temperature sensing device. In one example, a temperature sensing device includes a first end. The temperature sensing device also includes a second end. The temperature sensing device includes a shaft coupling the first end and the second end. The shaft is configured to rotate the first and second ends together during operation. A hot melt adhesive dispensing system includes an adhesive cut-off module, which introduces a non-adhesive liquid medium to cut-off a hot melt adhesive stream without forming an angel hair. The adhesive cut-off module includes a spool valve assembly which is configured to move from an adhesive dispensing position to a liquid dispensing position to cut-off the hot melt adhesive stream.

An improved protective jacket for insulated, angled pipe includes a metal jacket having a first portion and a second portion, each portion having a generally semi-circular cross-section, and including two or more fingers. Each of the fingers defines a fillet at a junction of the fingers and a baseline of the jacket. The fingers include a flat face at an inner angle and curve from the flat face to a superior surface of the jacket. A first finger is formed a minimum distance of about 0.5 inches from a second finger, and a width of the fingers is created by an isosceles triangle with a radius of curvature between about 0.3 inches and 0.5 inches.

Easy-forming metallic insulation elbow jackets

A coated fastener has a tip and a coating on the fastener, at least at the tip. The coating is formulated from a solvent-borne resin. The fastener includes one or both of a solids based additive in the solvent-borne acrylic resin and an overcoat on the solvent-borne acrylic resin. A strip of collated fasteners with the coating is also disclosed.
