A lens of a head-mounted display including a see-through mirror/coating, a gradient-index lens element, and a polarizer which are disposed in sequence is provided. The lens also includes a first aspheric lens element disposed between the see-through mirror/coating and the polarizer. The gradient-index lens element has a planar surface, and the quarter-wave plate is disposed on the planar surface of the gradient-index lens element.

Lens of head-mounted display

A headlight using an image light source is provided, which includes a laser light source and a wavelength converter. The laser light source includes multiple light-emitting units arranged in an array to provide an image beam. The wavelength converter is arranged downstream of an optical path of the laser light source. The wavelength converter is provided with a light dot matrix with the number of rows and columns greater than or equal to 40×40 to excite a part of the image beam into an excitation beam, and an unexcited part of the image beam is mixed with the excitation beam to generate a white beam.

Headlight

A vehicle lighting system includes a light processing unit, a non-uniform projection unit, a sensing unit, a judgment unit, and an operation unit. The light processing unit is capable of changing an intensity profile of a light beam, and the judgment unit receives an image signal from the sensing unit to determine whether to change the intensity profile of the light beam according to the image signal. When the intensity profile needs to be changed in accordance with the judgment result, the operation unit calculates out a desired intensity profile and outputs a control signal containing information about the desired intensity profile to the light processing unit, and the light processing unit changes the intensity profile of the light beam according to the control signal and sends out the light beam with the desired intensity profile.

Vehicle lighting system

A vehicle lighting system includes a light source, a beam expander, a light processing unit, and a non-uniform projection unit. The light source emits at least one collimated light beam, and the beam expander is located in a propagation path of the collimated light beam for receiving and expanding the collimated light beam to form an expanded light beam. The light processing unit is located in a propagation path of the expanded light beam for receiving the expanded light beam and a control signal and adjust an intensity profile of the expanded light beam according to the control signal, and a non-uniform projection unit converts the expanded light beam adjusted by the processor into a light beam having a non-uniform intensity profile.

Vehicle lighting system and method of fabrication

An optical projection and image sensing apparatus including a light source, a light valve, a first lens set, a sensing module, and a beam splitter is provided. The light valve is used to convert an illumination light from the light source to an image light beam. The first lens set is used to project the image light to display an image on a screen, and the sensing module is used to sense a sensing light from the image on the screen. The beam splitter is disposed on the optical paths of the image light and the sensing light from the image on the screen. One of the sensing module and the light valve is disposed on the optical path of the sensing light passing through the beam splitter, and the other is disposed on optical path of the sensing light reflected by the beam splitter.

Optical projection and image sensing apparatus

A projection apparatus including an actuator, a light source, and a projection lens is provided. The light source is disposed on the actuator and is capable for emitting light beams sequentially. The actuator is capable for driving the light source so as to change the transmission paths of the light beams. The projection lens is disposed on the transmission paths of the light beams. The volume of the projection apparatus can be reduced since the light source is directly disposed on the actuator.

Scanning projection apparatus

A camera module includes an image sensor, a first lens, a second lens and a beam splitting and combining component. The beam splitting and combining component is disposed between the first lens, the second lens and the image sensor. The first lens is suitable for imaging a first light beam of a first object onto the image sensor, while the second lens is suitable for imaging a second light beam of a second object onto the image sensor. In addition, both the first light beam and the second light beam are imaging onto the image sensor through the beam splitting and combining component. Therefore, the camera module is able to provide a two-way image-capturing function.

Camera module

A projection optical system includes a light source emitting light, a light valve with a surface in front of the light source, and a wedge prism disposed in the optical path from the light source to the light valve. By means of the wedge prism with different sectional thickness, the optical path and focus position of the light beam can be corrected. Therefore, the distortion produced by oblique incidence on to the light valve can be improved such that the light optical focus on the surface of the light valve to achieve the improvement of light spot on light valve and raise the uniformity, collection efficiency, and brightness.
