Flexible sheet made of polymer material, preferably a plastics-material sheet provided with a grain structure or embossing, which has functional surface-area regions designed in the form of a switching, sensor or operating element such that the sheet is of multi-layered design at least in the region of the functional surface-area regions, wherein at least one layer made of conductive polymer material is arranged in the functional surface-area regions, wherein the layer made of conductive material is spaced apart, on the rear side, from the visible surface of the sheet and is connected to an electronic control and regulating device, which detects changes in electrical properties of the sheet in the functional surface-area regions and converts these into actuating, switching or control signals.

A film including a top ply, where at least the top ply contains 15 to 90 phr of at least one ethylene-based polymer having a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4, 121&#xb0; C.) of 50 to 80 Mooney units and 10 to 85 phr of at least one polypropylene having an ISO 178 flexural modulus of greater than or equal to 400 MPa, and the film may be a single-ply or multi-ply film. In some aspects the ethylene-based polymer has a crystallinity of less than or equal to 30%. The top ply may further include at least one compatibilizer, which has, in some cases, a melt flow index MFI (230&#xb0; C., 2.16 kg) of 0.1 to 4.0 g/10 min.

Film and method for producing same

In a method for producing a thermoplastic film having a three-dimensionally textured, embossed surface, the film is subjected prior to a subsequent shaping kind of processing step to electron-beam crosslinking, which differently crosslinks the individual surface-area regions of the film, so that the regions that undergo greater degrees of drawing out during deforming have different degrees of crosslinking than their neighboring regions.

The cover layer is made of at least two layers, having an outer layer and an inner layer, and an elongation at tear of the inner layer of the cover layer and of the foamed layer is considerably less than the elongation at tear of the outer layer of the cover layer.

A thermoplastic film for the interior paneling of motor vehicles has a top layer with a structured surface layer and a foamed layer on the underside and with indentations or material weak points introduced on the reverse side. The top layer has a residual thickness of at least 35% in the region of the indentations and the foamed layer has a thickness between 15 and 50% of the density of the compact top layer.

Thermoplastic film

A textured, layered mold-formed body is produced with a foil laminate in which a top foil of at most partially crosslinked polymer materials and a sub-foil containing a polymer foam material with a density between 35 and 120 grams per liter and a gel content of less than 80 percent are laminated together. The foil laminate is embossed with a texture and treated with electron beams to give the texture enough stability for a subsequent deep-drawing step in which the mold-formed body is produced.

The invention relates to a foil or molded body based on a transparent and high frequency weldable polymer mixture containing a) (I) a copolymer of ethylene with about 8 to 60% by weight of comonomers, selected from vinyl esters of saturated C&#x2013;Ccarboxylic acids saturated C&#x2013;Calkylacrylates and methacrylates, optionally with carbon monoxide as termonomer, and/or (II) ethylene homopolymer, ethylene copolymer, propylene homopolymer and/or propylene copolymer with about 8 to 60% by weight of grafted units of unsaturated carboxylic acids, dicarboxylic acids, their esters and/or anhydrides or (III) a mixture of two or more of the above mentioned compounds, independently of their allocation to groups, whereby the polymers or their mixture have a melt index MFI (190&#xb0; C.; 2.16 kg) of about 0.2 to 15.0 g/10 min and b) a copolymer of ethylene with about 10 to 30% by weight of C&#x2013;C&#x2013;&#x3b1;-olefin with a melt index MFI (190&#xb0; C., 2.16 kg) of about 0.2 to 15.0 g/10 min, whereby the material of the foil and of the molded body is partially interlaced.
