A display device includes a display module including a first area and a second area extending from at least one side of the first area, wherein a portion of the display module is curved in the second area to have a constant curvature, a first plate disposed under the display module in the first area, a second plate disposed under the display module in the second area, extending from the first plate, and including a plurality of pattern portions defining an opening pattern having an edge of a closed curve and a plurality of segment portions disposed between the plurality of pattern portions, wherein a portion of the second plate overlapping the portion of the display module is curved to have a constant curvature, and a plurality of supporting elements disposed under the plurality of segment portions.

Display device

A display device includes: a display module including a first display region and a second display region extending from a side of the first display region, where one portion having a curved shape is defined in a portion of the second display region; a support layer disposed on a bottom surface of the display module; and a plurality of segment members, each including a center part, a support part extending from the center part and making direct contact with a bottom surface of the support layer in a region overlapping the second display region, an extension part extending from the center part in a direction intersecting an extension direction of the support part and defining a coupling groove together with the support part, and a coupling part extending from the center part in a direction opposite to the coupling groove.

Slidable display device

A display device includes a display panel having a first display area and a second display area adjacent to the first display area. A first support member is disposed under the display panel and includes a first support layer overlapping the first display area and a second support layer overlapping the second display area. The second support layer has a thickness different from a thickness of the first support layer. Provided is a display apparatus including a display layer including scan lines, data lines, and pixels, and defined by a first area exposed to an outside in both a closed state and an open state, and a second area, which extends from the first area in a first direction, is exposed to an outside in the open state, and in which at least a portion thereof is opposite to the first area in the closed state, a scan-driving circuit connected to the scan lines, deformation sensors arranged in the first direction and having resistance values corresponding to respective shapes of the display layer, deformation sensor drivers arranged in the first direction, respectively connected to the deformation sensors, and configured to drive the deformation sensors along the first direction, and a driving circuit configured to measure the resistance values of the deformation sensors.

Display apparatus

A display apparatus includes a display panel including a display area in which a plurality of pixels is arranged, and a peripheral area surrounding the display area, a panel cover member covering the display area and a first area of the peripheral area adjacent to the display area and including at least one opening corresponding to the first area, and a stress-reduction member overlapping with an end area of the panel cover member which is arranged in the first area, the stress-reduction member inserted in the at least one opening and arranged in a bending area of the peripheral area in which the display panel is bent.
