In one or more embodiments, one or more systems, one or more methods, and/or one or more methods may: register a subroutine configured to store multiple addresses of a volatile memory medium VMM of an information handling system (IHS); for each IHS initialization executable/OS executable pair of multiple IHS initialization executable/OS executable pairs: retrieve, from a first non-volatile memory medium (NVMM), an IHS initialization executable of the IHS initialization executable/OS executable pair; copy, by the IHS initialization executable, an OS executable of the IHS initialization executable/OS executable pair from the first NVMM to the VMM; call, by the IHS initialization executable, the subroutine; store, by the subroutine, an address associated with the OS executable via a data structure stored by the VMM; and copy, by a first OS executable, the OS executable from the VMM to a second NVMM based at least on the address associated with the OS executable.

System and method of utilizing platform applications with information handling systems

In one or more embodiments, one or more systems, one or more methods, and/or one or more processes may execute a first information handling system (IHS) initialization executable of a first IHS initialization executable/operating system (OS) executable pair; execute a second OS executable of a second IHS initialization executable/OS executable pair via an OS context; determine, by the second OS executable, that at least one application has been installed on the IHS in addition to multiple applications that have already been installed on the IHS; determine, by the second OS executable, information associated with the at least one application and at least one of system information, power configuration information, status configuration information, and hardware information; and provide first information that recommends how to configure power utilization of the IHS and second information that recommends how not to configure power utilization of the IHS based at least on the determined information.

A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for performing a platform security operation, comprising: presenting a platform security user interface, the platform security user interface including a plurality of security blocks, each of the plurality of security blocks corresponding to a particular security policy function configuring a security policy via the platform security user interface, the configuring comprising combining a set of the security blocks according to a desired security function; converting the set of security blocks to information representing the security policy; and, deploying the security policy to an information handling system.

Visual policy configuration and enforcement for platform security

Information handling system non-volatile random access memory (NVRAM) that stores operating system variables is managed to prevent a memory full condition by erasing selected portions of the NVRAM during operating system state transitions. If a first bank of NVRAM reaches a memory full condition threshold, active variables are copied to a second back of NVRAM and at least a portion of the first bank of NVRAM is erased during an operating system state transition from an on state to a reduced power and/or off state.

Information handling system firmware persistent memory runtime reclaim

Device drivers are provided from virtual media. System resources trap input/output data associated with the device drivers. Memory is allocated for the virtual media and populated with the device drivers using the input/output data. As an operating system installs, the virtual media is readable and is accessed for the device drivers.
