A control system for a material gathering mechanism includes a gathering head configured to gather material from aground surface, a plurality of gathering members configured to transport the material gathered by the gathering head towards a material conveying apparatus, and a jam detection device for detecting a jam condition in movement of one or more of the plurality of gathering members and generate signals indicative of the jam condition. The control system further includes a controller communicably coupled to the plurality of gathering members and the jam detection member. The controller receives signals indicative of the jam condition from the jam detection device. The controller initiates a sequence of stopping, delaying, and restarting the gathering member on receiving the signals indicative of the jam condition.

Control system for material gathering mechanism

A system and method for calibrating an electronically actuatable hydraulic valve in a work machine may include at least one supply valve and at least one drain valve to be calibrated and a bypass valve in fluid communication with a pump and a fluid source. The at least one supply valve and the at least one drain valve may be calibrated by opening the at least one supply valve and the at least one drain valve, closing the bypass valve, setting the pump to a desired flow output, determining a first current command for the at least one supply valve corresponding to a first target pressure parameter and determining a second current command for the at least one drain valve corresponding to a second target pressure parameter.

System and method for calibrating hydraulic valves

A machine configured to prevent unintentional motion in a linkage pivotally connected to a frame may include a first hydraulic actuator connected to the linkage and a second hydraulic actuator connected to the linkage. The machine may include a sensor and an electronic control module in communication with the sensor. The electronic control module may be configured to close a valve of the first hydraulic cylinder and/or cancel an actuation command to one of the first hydraulic actuator and the second hydraulic actuator in response to the electronic control module determining unintentional motion of the linkage has occurred based on the sensor.
