Invention for determining a patient's adherence to various prescribed medications. Here a variety of different types of patient pulse wave measurements (blood pressure, pulse oximeter, ECG) and other physiological measurements are obtained. This actual data is compared to calculated measurements that would be expected based on the various patient baseline measurements in the absence of medication, schedule of medications, and impact of medications the various patient baseline measurements. If the actual data meets expectations, then the patient is likely adhering to the regime. Depending on which types of data do not meet expectations, non-adherence to various previously described medications may be reported. Other types of patient physiological readings, such as temperature, motion, lung function, brain wave function (EEG) and the like may also be obtained, and these additional types of readings can be used to extend the range of different types of drugs/medications that the invention can successfully monitor.

Systems and methods for monitoring patient medication adherence

A control circuit (comprising, for example, a part of a charging hub for a portable electronic communications device) that is not configured to support USB On-The-Go-compatible Host Negotiation Protocol is operably coupled to a USB-ID connector and is configured to transmit an identifier via that USB-ID connector to prompt a USB device in function mode to serve as a USB host. A method of performing a retinal examination is described wherein perimetry points are selected in three dimensional imaging data of the retinal tissue. The corresponding points in register with these perimetry points are mapped to an en-face image. These corresponding points are used as stimulus locations for a micro-perimetry examination.

A computer-implemented method of correcting for motion of a sample during OCT imaging obtains a series of cross-sectional volume scans through the sample at different positions on a first coordinate axis, obtains at least two cross-sectional alignment scans in planes intersecting said volume scans at an angle, and stores the alignment scans and the volume scans in memory. The alignment scans are matched to the volume scans at lines of intersection thereof to determine the relative displacement of the volume scans to the sample due to sample motion. The relative displacement is used to correct for motion of the sample between successive volume scans.

A method of building up a three dimensional OCT image of an object having a limited region sensitive to movement of a scanning beam performs an OCT scan in a scanning pattern that results in said limited region, typically the fovea of the eye, being scanned last.

Method for reliable optical coherence tomography scans of volumes of retinal tissue

A visual acuity examination is performed on a patient by bringing a confocal imaging apparatus up to a patient's eye. Stimuli at various points in the patient's field of view are generated while the patient fixates on a point. The patient's responses to the stimuli are recorded with the movement of the eye with is tracked with the aid of the confocal imaging apparatus. The position of said stimuli on the retina is corrected to take into account any movement of the eye between stimuli.
