Systems and methods for adjusting cell site parameters are described. The systems and methods cause a map of a geographical area to be displayed, access known or stored location coordinates for antennas at a cell site that is located within the of the geographical area, and present display elements representing the antennas at first positions within the displayed map that correspond to the known location coordinates for the antennas at the cell site. In response to input received from a user, the systems and methods adjust the known location coordinates for the antennas at the cell sites to new location coordinates associated with second positions of the display elements within the displayed map. Adjusting cell site parameters using a mapping tool

A system for generating a database containing the internal locations (e.g., floor, compass direction, room number, nearest fixed landmark, etc.) of fixed wireless devices within a building. To collect data for the database, a report-provider traverses a building with a mobile reporting device. As the provider traverses the building, the mobile reporting device directs the reports-provider to detected wireless devices (e.g., WiFi access points, Bluetooth beacons, Internet-connected appliances, etc.) and instructs the provider to enter information regarding the internal location of each device. When a walk-thru of a building is complete, the mobile reporting device generates a building report that contains the building's location and the internal locations of the detected wireless device. Multiple such reports may be combined by the system to generate the database of internal locations of wireless devices in various buildings.

Tracking building locations of fixed wireless devices

A wireless connection between a mobile device and an IP-based wireless telecommunications network is established when the mobile device registers with a network controller (NC) through an access point (AP). When a geographical position is needed for the mobile device (e.g., a 911 call), messages are exchanged between the NC and a serving mobile location center (SMLC), where the SMLC retrieves information from a database that is used to identify the geographic position of the mobile device. The database can store a variety of information related to mobile devices such as: last known position, IP address, MAC address, a mobile or subscriber identifier (such as an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI)), last CGI, etc. The geographical position is communicated back to the NC, which can then forward the position information to a switch for processing such as for 911 calls.
