An entity may generate digital account credentials when a new account is approved for generation by an authorizing entity that controls or issues new accounts. A user may contact an authorizing entity to open a new account with the authorizing entity. The authorizing entity may authenticate the user and may approve a new account to be generated for the user. The user may wish to conduct transactions immediately upon approval. However, the authorizing entity may not immediately generate a physical identification device along with an actual account identifier associated with the new account. An intermediary entity may generate digital account credentials for the new account immediately after the authorizing entity approves generation of the new account, provide the digital account credentials to the account holder, and process transactions using the digital account credentials.

Digital instant issuance with instant processing

Embodiments of the invention are directed to methods, apparatuses, computer readable media and systems for processing transactions using conversion or filtering of restricted information. One embodiment of the invention is directed to a method comprising receiving, at a server computer located outside a restricted zone, a transaction request message including an unrestricted account alias, wherein the unrestricted account alias was previously converted from a restricted account identifier into the unrestricted account alias by a server computer located in a restricted zone. The server computer located outside the restricted zone may determine an account associated with the unrestricted account alias and process the transaction request message. Similar methods may be applied to settlement files including an unrestricted account alias that is converted to a restricted account identifier. Other embodiments are directed to filtering restricted information from service requests or other transactions.

System and method for local data conversion

In one embodiment of the invention, a method is described. The method comprises receiving at a server computer, an authorization request message from a first merchant computer operated by a first merchant that includes information associated with a transaction conducted by a consumer using a prepaid device associated with a second merchant, determining, based on the information in the authorization request message, the second merchant associated with the prepaid device, transmitting the authorization request message to a second merchant computer operated by the second merchant, receiving an authorization response message from the second merchant computer, and sending the authorization response message to the first merchant computer.

A processing system is operable for issuance and processing of cards with fee options applicable to a group of fee types. In one embodiment, the processing system includes a processing module, a secure card network, an issuer fee database and card account database. The card issuance database is operable to store a fee record associated with a card, wherein the fee record includes the fee options configured to apply to the group of fee types. The card account database is operable to store a card account record for the card, wherein the card account record includes a universal fee access counter for tracking parameters associated with the fee options configured to apply to the group of fee types.

Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for automatically migrating a consumer from one prepaid financial account to another prepaid financial account based on preset trigger criteria. A prepaid payment device, such as a payroll card, may be issued to the consumer and associated with a prepaid financial account. The prepaid financial account may include a profile for the consumer. The issuer of the prepaid payment device may monitor the account activity and set trigger criteria that control when the consumer is automatically migrated from the current prepaid financial account and which type of new account the consumer is migrated into.

Systems and methods for automatic migration of a consumer between financial accounts

A prepaid card processing system is operable for processing customized expiration dates of prepaid cards. The prepaid card processing system includes a database for storing program expiration parameters associated with an issuer prepaid card program; a set of card accounts created under the issuer prepaid card program, wherein each card account has an expiration date for a prepaid card associated with the card account; and one or more customized expiration parameters for the set of card accounts. The prepaid card processing system is operable to determine the expiration date for the prepaid card associated with the card account based on the program expiration parameters and the customized expiration parameters for the set of card accounts.

A method and system for handling returned prepaid device in a payment system. In one embodiment, upon receipt of a returned prepaid device corresponding to a consumer's account, a method indicates in the consumer's account that an address of the consumer is invalid; and determines whether the device should be stored in order to possibly re-send the device to the consumer if a new valid consumer address is received, or to destroy the device and refund the purchaser.

A method of monitoring fraud associated with prepaid devices includes configuring fraud platform parameters which comprise one or more limits defined by one or more values, each limit associated with a particular platform parameter, one or more thresholds defined by one or more values, each threshold associated with a particular platform parameter, and one or more rules that define restrictions for certain prepaid device activities. The method further includes applying the fraud platform parameters to prepaid device production data and determining whether to issue the prepaid device depending on whether any parameters were triggered by the production data.
