A wearable device provides protection for personal identity information by fragmenting a key needed to release the personal identity information among members of a body area network of wearable devices. A shared secret algorithm is used to allow unlocking the personal identity information with fragmental keys from less than all of the wearable devices in the body area network. The wearable devices may also provide protection for other personal user data by employing a disconnect and erase protocol that causes wearable devices to drop connections with an external personal data space and erase locally stored personal information if a life pulse from a connectivity root device is not received within a configurable predefined period.

A QR control code (QRCC) may be identified in the QR image based on a QR tag in the image. Based on the QRCC, a control command of an apparatus may be identified. Apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for a context-based access mediator ('CAM') are described. The CAM may be configured to mediate access to computer-accessible resources by a user using a computing device after receiving a request from the computing device for the computing device to access a computer-accessible resource. The computer-accessible resource may be local or remote to the computing device. The CAM may be configured to receive the request and to mediate access to the requested resource. Such mediation may be performed through the CAM determining whether the resource may be accessed by the computing device and/or through the CAM determining which resources are available to the be accessed by the computing device. A method and system for facilitating one-to-many data transmissions with reduced network overhead includes conducting a round of data transmissions from a source computing device to a plurality of sink computing devices. Each of the sink computing devices generates a bucket list of lost data blocks for the round of data transmissions and transmits the bucket list to the source computing device. The source computing device conducts a subsequent round of data transmissions based on the bucket lists. One or more additional subsequent rounds may be conducted until the bucket list of each sink computing device is empty.

Embodiments of methods, systems, and storage medium associated with providing, with a user device, multiple content items for display by multiple receiving devices via multicast transmissions are disclosed herein. In one instance, the method may include forming a multicast data unit with multiple portions of data. Each portion of data may correspond to one of multiple content items to be transmitted to multiple receiving devices by the computing device and each content item is to be displayed by one of the multiple receiving devices. The method may further include transmitting the formed multicast data unit to the multiple receiving devices; and initiating, at each receiving device of the multiple receiving devices, a retrieval from the multicast data unit a portion of data that corresponds to a content item to be displayed by the receiving device, and to display the content item. Methods and mechanisms for exchanging map information in a wireless communication. In an embodiment, map information to represent at least a portion of a map is advertised by a first communication device communication independent of any request for the map information being received in a data session or a voice session. The method may include identifying, by a charging controller, charging apparatus location information associated with a wireless charging apparatus configured to direct charging beams, and identifying, by the charging controller, an optimal charging zone of the wireless charging apparatus based at least in part on the charging apparatus location information. Methods and systems for optimizing location-based wireless charging

A method and system for detecting and reducing data transfer congestion in a wireless access point includes determining a round-trip-time value for an internet control message protocol (ICMP) packet transmitted from a source computing device to a first computing device of a plurality of computing devices via the wireless access point. A data rate for data transmissions from the source computing device is increased to a value no greater than a peak data rate value if the round-trip-time is less than a first threshold value. The data rate is decreased if the round-trip-time value is greater than a second threshold value. Additionally, the peak data rate value may also be decreased if the round-trip-time value is greater than the second threshold value.

Method and system for access point congestion detection and reduction

Embodiments of the invention address how trilateration processes, used to obtain a location of a mobile computing device, are affected by physical placement and sub-optimal selection of peer devices (PDs). Embodiments of the invention describe processes for selecting nearest PDs over further PDs, as received signal strength indicator (RSSI) measurements are more reliable&#x2014;i.e., said 'nearest PDs' provide more accurate distance measurements while improving the probability of finding more intersection points. Embodiments of the invention selectively utilize abnormal location poll data when executing location determination processes. Embodiments of the invention further enhance trilateration processes by utilizing dampening values for calculated location poll data.
