In an embodiment, a method is provided. The method comprises extracting, from an image acquired with a first image-capture device, an image portion having dimensions of an extent of a second image-capture device. The method further comprises normalizing a parameter of the image portion. The method further comprises determining at least one edge of at least one object in the image portion; and generating, in response to the determined at least one edge, an edge map corresponding to the image portion.

Edge detection via window grid normalization

In one embodiment, a method is provided. The method comprises determining a first value of a coefficient of an edge-determining algorithm in response to a spatial resolution of a first image acquired with an image capture device onboard a vehicle, a spatial resolution of a second image, and a second value of the coefficient in response to which the edge-determining algorithm generated a second edge map corresponding to the second image. The method further comprises determining, with the edge-determining algorithm in response to the coefficient having the first value, at least one edge of at least one object in the first image. The method further comprises generating, in response to the determined at least one edge, a first edge map corresponding to the first image. The method further comprises determining at least one navigation parameter of the vehicle in response to the first and second edge maps.

Adaptive gaussian derivative sigma systems and methods

Systems and methods for a code carrier divergence (CCD) high-pass filter monitor are provided. In one embodiment, a signal deformation monitor for a GNSS ground based augmentation station, the monitor comprising: a CCD monitor stage communicatively coupled to a plurality of GNSS reference receivers, wherein the CCD monitor stage inputs raw pseudorange code measurements and accumulated delta range carrier measurements from each of the plurality of GNSS reference receivers; and a Code Carrier Divergence -High Pass Filer (CCD-HPF) monitor stage communicatively coupled to the CCD monitor stage, wherein the CCD-HPF monitor processes each of a plurality of low-pass filtered divergence rate measurements, dproduced by the CCD monitor stage through a high-pass filter to calculate an averaged CCD-HPF monitor divergence rate, d; wherein the signal deformation monitor outputs an exclusion signal associated with a GNSS satellite when the averaged CCD-HPF monitor divergence rate, dexceeds an exclusion threshold.
