A method for configuring a UI (User Interface) displayed on a display of an IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) device is provided. The method includes: (a) in response to acquiring a setting request for the UI, displaying (i) a default UI template list, and (ii) a setting interface through a screen of a user device; (b) allowing (i) a UI configuration management module to generate specific screen configuration defining data, and (ii) an API gateway module to generate each of specific integrated data; and (c) after transmitting the specific screen configuration defining data and the specific integrated data to the IVI device, allowing a client program based on a Web Browser, to thereby (i) display the specific template through the display of the IVI device, and (ii) display each of the specific contents through each of the specific tiles.

Method for providing service of configuring UI on a display of an in-vehicle infotainment device and UI configuration server using the same

The present disclosure provides data and connectivity management systems and methods. A router application and/or service endpoint resolver in communication with a telematics control unit (TCU) may support devices and enable content, video or music streaming. In an illustrative embodiment, the router application and/or service endpoint resolver may receive a data access request to a resource identifier. A data plan associated with the vehicle may be accessed. In turn, a determination may be made on whether the resource identifier is within a preset list of resource identifiers defined by the data plan. The request to the resource identifier may be processed when the resource identifier is within the preset list of resource identifiers defined by the data plan. When no data plan exists for the vehicle or the resource identifier is not in the preset list, denial of the request may be made.

A venue location identification system for vehicular access control is described. In one embodiment, the system includes at least one access control device. The access control device includes a processor, a communication interface, and an actuating mechanism configured to control a barrier for providing access to a parking area. The system also includes a user device associated with a vehicle. The user device is configured to communicate with the communication interface of the at least one access control device using ultra wideband (UWB) communication technology. The user device is further configured to transmit an access request to the access control device via UWB requesting permission to leave the parking area as the vehicle approaches the barrier.

Additionally, the method and system include determining one or more countermeasure controls associated with the one or more remote control commands. The method and system further include restricting the execution of one or more remote control commands from the portable electronic device if it determined that one or more countermeasure controls are associated with the one or more remote control commands.

System and method for limiting remote control between a portable electronic device and one or more vehicle systems

One or more embodiments of techniques or systems for connection authentication are provided herein. A mobile device or device may act as an initiator of a connection with a vehicle, which acts as a target. A user utilizing the device may initiate a connection request by launching an application or browser on the device. The device transmits the connection request to the vehicle. The vehicle may receive the connection request and respond with a device identifier (ID) request. A user of the device may select whether or not to continue. If the user continues, the device transmits a device ID of the device to the vehicle. An interface component may render the connection request for an occupant of the vehicle, such as the driver, and await a response. In this way, a driver of a vehicle may act as a gatekeeper for connections.

The method and system includes connecting one or more portable electronic devices to the navigation system. The method and system additionally includes determining the presence of one or more passengers within the vehicle. The method and system also includes setting an enabled state of a device destination pointer application stored on the one or more portable electronic devices based on the determination of the presence of one or more passengers within the vehicle. The method and system further includes controlling access to a device destination pointer user interface based on the enabled state of the device destination pointer application.

System and method for limiting interaction between a portable electronic device and a navigation system in a vehicle

A method and system for sending a destination point to a vehicle navigation system from a portable electronic device. The method and system include connecting one or more portable electronic devices to the navigation system. The method and system additionally include identifying a user classification category of one or more users that are operating the one or more portable electronic devices that are connected to the navigation system. Additionally, the method and system include sending the desired destination point from the one or more portable electronic devices to the navigation system based on the user classification category. The sending of the desired destination point occurs upon determining that the navigation system is locked out and includes the navigation system computing a navigational route to the desired destination point sent from the one or more portable electronic devices to the navigation system.
