A method and system of providing guidance and information to an end-user during an emergency situation. A network of beacon devices is arranged throughout different rooms of a physical structure, such as a house. When an emergency situation such as a fire is detected, for example via data collected from one or more smart sensors installed in the house, a navigation server can activate the beacon device network. Each beacon device will begin to provide navigation cues such as audio content and/or light display that guide the end-user to the nearest designated exit.

A method of providing a dynamic go-bag service to a user is described. The go-bag contains various supplies and important documents, and is configured to protect these contents during an emergency situation. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving user information from a user, including information about the user, the user's family, and the user's home or residence. Based on the received user information, the method further includes generating a customized go-bag for the user that includes contents specific for the user to use in an emergency situation. The method also includes providing the customized go-bag to the user.

A system and method for intelligent queueing and guidance is disclosed. The system and method can be used to determine when a user should queue and to provide navigation to a queueing location. The system can include a queueing detection and monitoring module, a queue prediction module, a navigation module, and an optimal timing module. A method and system of intelligently deploying protective structures along the sides of a vehicle in order to protect the vehicle from damage is disclosed. The vehicle includes two protective structures such as bumpers that are each stored in a retracted position during normal vehicle operations. The system receives data collected by sensors in the vehicle to determine whether an accident is likely. If the system determines there is a high likelihood that an accident will occur, one or both protective structures can be deployed from the sides of the vehicle to protect the body of the vehicle from damage.

The system could be used to warn a person who breaches the user's detection zone to maintain a safe distance.

A system may include a router that may receive a plurality of data packets from one or more devices that communicatively couples to the router. A warming device is disclosed. The warming device includes an interior void that is sized to accommodate an exterior plumbing fixture, like an outside faucet. The warming device includes a heating member that is automatically activated in response to a change in temperature. When activated, the heating member generates heat to help protect the exterior plumbing fixture from the elements.

The present disclosure is related to a roadside assistance system that may utilize crowdsourcing to collect and monitor user data, such as user input and user behavior, to build a machine learning model. In response to receiving a request for roadside assistance from a driver, the roadside assistance system may utilize the machine learning model to identify a suitable user who may provide the requested roadside assistance within a suitable time, and guide the identified suitable user to a location of the requesting driver to perform the requested roadside service. Furthermore, the roadside assistance system may direct suitable user to supply locations to pick up certain supplies for the requested roadside service. Additionally, the roadside assistance system may utilize crowdsourcing to provide rental vehicles to users.

Provided is a data protection system that operates to shield private data from detection or communication over a network. In an embodiment, the system includes a shielding device that, when active, provides a shielding output that shields, e.g., obscures, detection of private data by sensors of smart devices. The shielding may be selectively activated such that active sensors of the smart devices may operate or detect environmental events normally during times outside of the shielding. A data protection tool of the system may remove or shield private data generated by a user device, e.g., by modifying captured image data.

A fire prevention system for a building. The fire protection system has an inlet duct having an interior end and an exterior end. An air handler is disposed at the interior end of the inlet duct to provide air from outside the building to the air handler. A flame arrester is located at the exterior end of the inlet duct to prevent burning embers from entering the inlet duct. The fire protection system also includes an interior duct system for distributing air from the air handler through the building. Distribution vents in the interior duct system allow flow of air from the interior duct system to the interior of the building to raise the pressure in the building above the outside pressure.
