An assembly includes a cone having a tapered outer surface, a slips assembly positioned at least partially around the tapered outer surface of the cone, and a sealing ring positioned at least partially around the tapered outer surface of the cone. The slips assembly directly engages the sealing ring, such that the slips assembly is configured to transmit a setting force to the sealing ring, which moves the sealing ring on the tapered outer surface of the cone and expands the sealing ring radially outward. The assembly includes an anti-seal ring positioned adjacent to the sealing ring and around the cone. The anti-seal ring is driven along the tapered outer surface of the cone by engagement with the sealing ring.

An apparatus and method for generating vibration in a downhole tubular, in which the apparatus includes a pulse valve that is configured to open and close intermittently, so as to intermittently vary pressure of a fluid that flows into the downhole tubular and thereby generate vibration in the downhole tubular, and a driver coupled to the pulse valve and configured to open and close the pulse valve. The driver is powered by a source of energy that is not in fluid communication with the downhole tubular.

A downhole tool includes a tubular, an inner valve assembly positioned in the tubular, and a body positioned radially between the inner valve assembly and the tubular, the body at least partially made from a bonding agent configured to secure the inner valve assembly in the tubular.

A valve assembly for use in a wellbore includes a housing defining a bore that extends axially therethrough, a valve seat positioned in the housing, and a valve element movably positioned in the housing. The valve seat and the valve element are concentric to one another, but non-concentric with the housing, such that a centerline defined through the valve seat and the valve element is offset from a central axis of the housing. The valve element is linearly actuatable relative to the housing between a closed position in which the valve element engages the valve seat and blocks the bore and an open position in which the valve element permits flow of fluid therethrough.

A downhole tool system includes a downhole tool. The downhole tool includes a body having a bore formed axially-therethrough. An inner surface of the body defines an asymmetric shoulder. The downhole tool also includes an upper cone configured to be received within the bore of the body from an upper axial end of the body. The upper cone is configured to move within the body in a first direction from the upper axial end toward the shoulder in response to actuation by a setting assembly, which forces at least a portion of the body radially-outward.

A stop collar includes an annular body and a gripping member. The body includes an outer surface and an inner surface. The body defines a window extending from the outer surface to the inner surface. A portion of the inner surface has a diameter that decreases proceeding toward an axial end of the body. The gripping member is positioned at least partially within the body and in contact with the inner surface. The gripping member is at least partially aligned with the window when the stop collar is in a first state. The gripping member moves toward the axial end of the body when the stop collar actuates into a second state. A diameter of the gripping member decreases as the gripping member moves toward the axial end of the body.

A downhole tool includes a generally-cylindrical body at least partially made of a cast material, a valve positioned within the body, a first fin positioned on the body and extending outwards therefrom, and a second fin positioned on the body and extending outwards therefrom. The first and second fins are configured to engage an inside diameter surface of an oilfield tubular and retain a bonding material in an annular region defined radially between the body and the inside diameter surface of the oilfield tubular, and axially between the first and second fins.

A downhole tool includes a sleeve having a first end and a second end, a slip assembly coupled to the second end of the sleeve, a first cone positioned at least partially in the sleeve, proximal to the first end thereof, and a second cone positioned at least partially in the slip assembly. The first and second cones are configured to be moved toward one another from a run-in configuration to a set configuration. When actuating from the run-in configuration to the set configuration, the sleeve is forced radially outward by the first cone. When actuating from the run-in configuration to the set configuration, the slip assembly is forced radially outward by the second cone.

A downhole tool includes an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve positioned at least partially within the outer sleeve. A setting ring is configured to be positioned at least partially within the inner sleeve. A first fastener is configured to couple the setting ring to a plug. The inner sleeve is configured to pull on the setting ring to actuate the plug from a first state into a second state. The first fastener is configured to break when the plug is in the second state, thereby de-coupling the setting ring from the plug.

A downhole tool includes a cone having a tapered outer surface, a slip assembly positioned at least partially around the tapered outer surface of the cone, and a sealing ring positioned at least partially around the tapered outer surface of the cone. The slip assembly directly engages the sealing ring, such that the slip assembly is configured to transmit a setting force directly onto the sealing ring, which moves the sealing ring on the tapered outer surface of the cone and expands the sealing ring radially outward.

A downhole tool may include a first end collar configured to be positioned at least partially around a tubular, a second end collar configured to be positioned at least partially around the tubular, a plurality of elongate members extending between and connected to the first and second end collars, and a dissolvable retention member coupled to the second end collar. The dissolvable retention member is configured to maintain a position of the second end collar relative to the first end collar until the dissolvable retention member at least partially dissolves in a downhole fluid. When the dissolvable retention member at least partially dissolves, the second end collar is configured to move with respect to the first end collar, and the plurality of elongate members expand radially outwards.

A downhole tool includes a component that is configured to dissolve in a wellbore fluid, and a protective coating applied to the component. The protective coating is configured to isolate the component from the wellbore fluid, and to fracture in response to the component deforming and expose the component to the wellbore fluid.

A downhole tool includes an expandable sleeve having an outer surface. The expandable sleeve is configured to expand radially outwards without fracturing apart. The tool also includes a plurality of button inserts positioned at least partially in the expandable sleeve and extending outward past the outer surface by a first distance, so as to engage a surrounding tubular when the expandable sleeve is expanded. The tool further includes a first band of grit material on the outer surface, adjacent to at least one row of the plurality of button inserts. The first band of grit material extends outward from the outer surface by at least the first distance, to shield the plurality of button inserts during run-in of the downhole tool.

A downhole tool includes an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve positioned at least partially within the outer sleeve. An impediment is positioned at least partially within the inner sleeve. A first retainer is positioned at least partially within the inner sleeve. The first retainer is configured to prevent the impediment from passing therethrough when a force on the impediment is less than a predetermined amount. The impediment, the first retainer, or both is/are configured to allow the impediment to pass through the first retainer when the force on the impediment is greater than the predetermined amount. A second retainer is configured to actuate between a first position and a second position. The second retainer in the first position is configured to prevent the impediment from passing through the first retainer. The second retainer in the second position is configured to allow the impediment to pass through the first retainer.
