In various aspects, a strip belt conveyor assembly defines a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction. The strip belt conveyor assembly can include a plurality of roller assemblies. Each of the plurality of roller assemblies can include a tensioning assembly and a roller that is rotatably coupled to the tensioning assembly. The tensioning assembly can include a first translatable member that is configured to translate in the transverse direction and a second translatable member that is configured to translate in the longitudinal direction. The tensioning assembly can be configured such that translation of the first translatable member in the transverse direction causes the translation of the second translatable member in the longitudinal direction.

Strip belt conveyor assembly

A conveyor system comprising a conveyor cartridge removably coupled with a first side plate and an opposite second side plate that delimit a direction of the conveyor cartridge transverse to transport direction. Conveyor rollers rotatably mounted to axles and extending a conveyor roller width between the first side plate and the second side plate. Braking mechanism positioned internally in the cartridge frame in between the first side plate and the opposite second side plate. The braking mechanism abuts the conveyor rollers to retard rotation of the conveyor rollers.

The present disclosure relates to an axle retainer and associated conveyor system. An example axle retainer is defined by a housing that includes a first surface configured to be secured to an inner-sidewall of a conveyor frame and a second surface opposite the first surface. The second surface defines two or more apertures configured to mount a conveyor roller axle therein. Each aperture includes a snap-fit bracket defining two arms each with a corresponding protrusion. The two arms of the snap-fit bracket are configured to expand from a first position to a second position within the aperture to receive a conveyor roller axle and rebut from the second position to the first position such that the pair of corresponding protrusions defined by the two arms of the snap-fit bracket retain the conveyor roller axle in the aperture.

A conveyor cartridge that is removably coupled to a conveyor frame is provided. The conveyor cartridge comprises a cartridge frame, conveyor rollers, and a belt. The cartridge frame comprises a first side plate and an opposite second side plate, extended portions, and arcuate sloped surfaces. The first and second side plates delimit a direction of the conveyor cartridge transverse to a transport direction. Each extended portion is formed on a top surface of one of the first or second side plates and extends outward beyond the corresponding one of the first side plate and the second side plate in the direction transverse to the transport direction. The arcuate sloped surfaces are integrally formed on opposite end portions of the extended portions. The arcuate sloped surfaces are downwardly bowed on the opposite end portions to define a curved head portion and a curved tail portion for the extended portions.

Conveyor cartridge

A side-by-side reducer (SSR) conveyor has one lateral side of driven rollers operating at a different longitudinal running speed than another lateral side of driven rollers. The one lateral has an input section of driven rollers skewed away from the other lateral side followed by a converging zone of driven rollers skewed toward the other lateral side. The separation prevents frictional contact between side-by-side cartons so that one can be longitudinally moved a different velocity than the other to converge in a tandem arrangement.
