A system for emotionally enhancing dialogue includes a computing platform having processing hardware and a system memory storing a software code including a predictive model. The processing hardware is configured to execute the software code to receive dialogue data identifying an utterance for use by a digital character in a conversation, analyze, using the dialogue data, an emotionality of the utterance at multiple structural levels of the utterance, and supplement the utterance with one or more emotional attributions, using the predictive model and the emotionality of the utterance at the multiple structural levels, to provide one or more candidate emotionally enhanced utterance(s). The processing hardware further executes the software code to perform an audio validation of the candidate emotionally enhanced utterance(s) to provide a validated emotionally enhanced utterance, and output an emotionally attributed dialogue data providing the validated emotionally enhanced utterance for use by the digital character in the conversation.

Multi-level emotional enhancement of dialogue

Systems and techniques are provided to identify, analyze, and evaluate key events and mechanical variables in videos of human motion related to an action, such as may be used in training for various sports and other activities. Information about the action is calculated based on analysis of the video such as via keypoint identification, pose identification and/or estimation, and related calculations, and provided automatically to the user to allow for improvement of the action.

Detection of kinetic events and mechanical variables from uncalibrated video

A system for producing conversation-driven character animation includes a computing platform having processing hardware and a system memory storing software code, the software code including multiple trained machine learning (ML) models. The processing hardware executes the software code to obtain a conversation understanding feature set describing a present state of a conversation between a digital character and a system user, and to generate an inference, using at least a first trained ML model of the multiple trained ML models and the conversation understanding feature set, the inference including labels describing a predicted next state of a scene within the conversation. The processing hardware further executes the software code to produce, using at least a second trained ML model of the multiple trained ML models and the labels, an animation stream of the digital character participating in the predicted next state of the scene within the conversation.

Conversation-driven character animation

Systems and methods are presented for detecting physical contacts effectuated by actions performed by an entity participating in an event. An action, performed by the entity, is detected based on a sequence of pose data associated with the entity's performance in the event. A contact with another entity in the event is detected based on data associated with the detected action. The action and the contact detections are employed by neural-network based detectors.

Detection of contacts among event participants

A safety block that includes a drive member on a lower face for attaching a socket or other tooling for applying torque to a screw, bolt, nut or other fastener. The safety block has a pair of drive pockets in an upper face of the block on opposed sides of a drive axis that passes through the drive member. The pair of drive pockets are sized and arranged to accept a square-shaped driver of a separately-provided wrench or breaker bar, to permit applying opposed, co-directional torque upon the socket or other tooling, thereby obviating the need to use a breaker bar or similar makeshift arrangement for breaking loose nuts and bolts in the field or on machinery.

Safety block

A dual-handled ratcheting socket wrench having a drive head and a pair of handles pivotably attached at opposite ends of the drive head, and a manually-withdrawable, quick-release pin extending through each handle and the drive head to form a hinge. The quick-release pin can be withdrawn manually from the aligned holes without the use of a hand tool. The dual-handled ratcheting socket wrench can have a locking mechanism for independently securing the handles at a variable pivot position relative to the drive head. The dual-handled socket wrench allows a mechanic to apply substantially equal, co-rotational force to each handle.
