A portable douching apparatus that provides efficient and safe internal cleansing is disclosed. The douching apparatus can be used in the shower, offering a portable, discreet, and efficient, shower-powered solution for douching without the need for tools or installation. As described below, the apparatus includes a self-sealing elastomeric connector that allows a secure mounting on a shower or another water-providing fixture, a water pressure release mechanism that allows to reduce internal water pressure that could disrupt the connection to the fixture, and body-safe tip optimized for insertion into an orifice of a living organism. These features ensure a hygienic, safe internal use and compatibility with a narrow-diameter hose and tip, allowing the device to function under various levels of shower water pressure and providing a significant improvement over existing douching products.

An automatically opening and closing inflatable holiday ornament includes a box that has a base, a plurality of side panels hingedly connected to the base, and a top portion connected to each of the plurality of side panels. The ornament further includes a motor, a plurality of pull cables, such that each of the plurality of pull cables has a first end operatively connected to the motor and a second end connected to one of the plurality of side panels. The ornament also includes a first blower, an inflatable disposed in the box and surrounding the first blower such that operation of the first blower blows air into the inflatable to inflate the inflatable, and a controller operatively connected to the motor and to the first blower such that the controller controls operation of the motor and the blower.

A brush cleaning system includes a container having a bottom portion and an opening. A plurality of projections are located proximate to the bottom portion of the container. Bristles of a brush engage the plurality of projections to splay the bristles of the brush. A cap seals the opening of the container. A liquid solution is added to the container to clean the brush.

A medication dispensing device comprises a cartridge unit and a control unit. The cartridge unit comprises a cartridge housing defining a dispensing channel to allow passage of the dosage from the cartridge to the patient. The control unit comprises a main housing for coupling to the cartridge housing. A driver member engages the driven member to actuate the driven member. A mobile computing device stores dosage availability and receives an authorized patient identification input before dispensing a dosage.

This invention provides a medication dispensing system that instructs the user through visual and audio cues, such as the illumination of individual medication cups that are arrayed in accordance with a daily and weekly schedule in separate orifices within the dispenser body. It monitors compliance by determining when an indicated cup is accessed, based upon at least one of manipulating a lid and/or placing into, removing from, or replacing into the correct orifice based upon the indication. The cups can be refilled based upon an indication, and/or can be provided in removable prefilled refill tray. The dispenser can include an on-board processor that stores a current configuration including the treatment schedule. The configuration can be programmed/re-programmed, and compliance can be monitored, via a wired or wireless server connection that communicates with interested parties, and that supports a graphical user interface. Communication, messaging and/or display systems can also be integrated.

This invention provides a system and method for dispensing medication and a dispensing apparatus that comprises a plurality of compartments in an array within a housing, the compartments having respective lids, each of the lids being movable from a closed position to an open position, the respective lids each having a latch that secures the lid in a locked configuration in the closed position. The apparatus has an actuator mechanism that selectively unlocks the latch of each of the lids at a predetermined time so as to place the unlocked lid in an unlocked configuration that enables the lid to be moved to the open position. The compartments of the medication dispenser each receive a removable cup therein that is accessible when a respective of the lids associated therewith is in the open position. Other features, such as communication and messaging and/or audible/visual displays can also be provided.

Apparatuses for coupling magnetic forces into motive force are disclosed having a spinner arm, a power bed, and a hub. The spinner arm has a helical array of magnets mounted about a shaft. The apparatus also has a rotational timing coupling such as a stationary rack and spinner shaft pinion. The power bed has two arrays of magnets defining a power track. The spinner arm shaft may be mounted in the hub, allowing rotation of the spinner arm about its axis. The hub is further constructed to allow the hub and spinner arm to move translationally within a plane parallel to a plane containing the power bed. High coercive force magnets in the spinner and power bed interact to displace the spinner arm and rotate it about its axis. Multiple spinner arms and power beds may be arranged to move a load linearly or drive a load about an axis.
