A clinical decision support system for patient treatment that incorporates patient data to display information in readily identifiable icons for vital organs and medical systems, and in a useable, real-time, updated fashion that extracts data from the medical history, the current medical management, the current physiologic monitors, and associated medical systems to produce warnings and alerts to enable caregivers to be made aware of physiologic systems at risk. These data are not only presented, but also use real-time queries and calculations to enable caregivers to have the types of data that would traditionally assist them in patient care but only be available by reviewing the medical literature and/or doing retrospective individual calculations while providing patient care.

Real time clinical decision support system having medical systems as display elements

A clinical decision support system for patient treatment having a monitoring device operably coupled to a patient. The monitoring device outputs a monitoring signal in response to a measured parameter of the patient. A controller receives the monitoring signal and outputs a display signal. The controller further compiles clinical documentation relating to the patient based on the monitoring signal and outputs a documentation signal related thereto. A display device then receives the display signal and the documentation signal and displays the same in connection with various indicia thereby displaying both the monitored signal and associated clinical documentation.

Real time clinical decision support system having linked references

A heating module for an oxygen sensor comprises an estimated mass module, a cumulative mass module, and a temperature control module. The estimated mass module determines an estimated mass of intake air to remove condensation from an exhaust system after startup of an engine. The cumulative mass module determines a cumulative mass of intake air after the engine startup. The temperature control module adjusts a temperature of an oxygen sensor measuring oxygen in the exhaust system to a first predetermined temperature after the engine startup and adjusts the temperature to a second predetermined temperature when the cumulative air mass is greater than the estimated air mass, wherein the second predetermined temperature is greater than the first predetermined temperature.

Oxygen sensor heater control strategy

A diagnostic system for an exhaust system including a catalyst and a post-catalyst oxygen sensor is provided. The system generally includes a fuel control module that commands fuel to transition from a rich condition to a lean condition and that commands fuel to transition from the lean condition to the rich condition. A first diagnostic module monitors the post-catalyst oxygen sensor during the transition from the rich condition to the lean condition. A second diagnostic module monitors the catalyst during the transition from the lean condition to the rich condition.

Exhaust system monitoring methods and systems

A control system for an oxygen sensor heater is provided. The control system includes a passive heater control module that generates a heater control signal at a first duty cycle and measures a resistance of the oxygen sensor heater. An exhaust gas temperature mapping module maps the resistance to an exhaust gas temperature. An active heater control module generates a heater control signal at a second duty cycle based on the exhaust gas temperature.

Oxygen sensor heater control methods and systems

An engine exhaust sensor diagnostic system for an exhaust system including a catalyst and a post-catalyst oxygen sensor includes a first module that calculates a total integrated area based on a signal generated by the post-catalyst oxygen sensor. A second module compares the total integrated area to a threshold integrated area and generates a pass status signal when the total integrated area is less than the threshold integrated area.
