A device for measuring intraocular pressure includes a functional part with a tubular probe base and a probe contactable with a surface of an eye to derive an intraocular pressure in the eye from variations in a velocity of the probe. The probe is inside the tubular probe base. The probe is partly formed of magnetic material. An induction coil gives the probe a specific velocity. The device also has means for measuring the variations in a velocity of the probe, means for processing and displaying the measurement data, and controlling operations. The device is mainly characterized by means for holding the probe inside the tubular probe base, and means for releasing the probe for the measurement.

Apparatus for measuring intraocular pressure

An ultrasound device captures skeleton density information. This ultrasound device includes at least two transmittershaving a distance of Lbetween them for transmitting ultrasound signals into the skeleton, at least two receivershaving a distance of Lbetween them for receiving ultrasound signals from the skeleton, as the calibrated known distance L is at least one of distances Land L. The ultrasound device also includes a processing unitfor calculating a ultrasound velocity in the skeleton for forming skeleton density information on the basis of the ultrasound signals received by the receiversby dividing known distance by an average of a travel time difference for a ultrasound signal between the receiversreceiving the ultrasound signal from the first transmitterand the second transmitter

Method and device for measuring density of a bone

An ultrasound device can be calibrated for forming skeleton density information. This ultrasound device includes a calibration program integrated programmatically to the ultrasound device and a calibration part for calibrating a known distance L. The velocity of ultrasound is known for different temperatures in the calibration part. The ultrasound device includes at least two transmitters having a distance of Lbetween them for transmitting ultrasound signals into the skeleton, and at least two receivers having a distance of Lbetween them for receiving ultrasound signals from the skeleton. At least one of distances Land Lis equal to the calibrated known distance L. The ultrasound device also includes a processing unit for calculating an ultrasound velocity in the skeleton.
